Many moons ago (1985) I went to the opening of the first photographic gallery in Denver. Half the show was 11x14 contact prints! The quality was amazing. The guy I was with said "I gotta get me one of these". 2 months later I go to his place and he has one with a single film holder He could not afford a lens or big tripod at this point and wanted to borrow mine. So off to the mountains we go with my Fuji 420mm and majestic tripod. The lens covered everything quite well and has a magnification factor of .93 or 141mm on a 4x5.

Keep it up, large format is magical

Thanks, that was interesting, ULF doesn't get discussed much, mostly 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. There aren't many or any ULF groups on IG or FB either

nice video, you did forget to mention one company 'film for classics' which I think would deal with sheet film too, not just 620 etc. for smaller formats. Also you could get reducing backs like Linhof or sinar used for 8 x 10; 4 x 5 , etc. would save some money on film stocks ( this importantly allows instant film / holders from impossible project to be used as well).

Thanks Andy, I checked film for classics, so far nothing on their site about sheet film in special sizes. About reducing backs, yes, its an option but this was mostly a video on ULF lenses for 11x14. My guess is the user that asked wanted 11x14 film or paper and lenses with coverage.

Makes my 4x5 look like a point and shoot 🤣

I use a Jobo machine and the 3063 tank.

Everything 8x10 is like four times more expensive than 4x5. How does the cost of 11x14 relate to 8x10?

It depends on the stock, but most black and white is just a bump in price because of size. Color is around 2x an 8x10.
