Good job backing Dan...backing into tight spots like that is what separates the "steering wheel holder" from the REAL truck driver (professional). These company trained drivers, like Swift and most schools do not spend enough time teaching backing a truck up.

Likes the new camera angle! Not much room on that one, but no hill for a climber. I would be more worried about that pole at the back corner of the building. It looked like it stuck out a little bit. I wonder how often they have to re-paint that guardrail to keep any yellow on it.

Your driving skills are top notch. There some drivers that wouldn't attempt that backup at all. Then there are some that would take twice as long as you did to back up their trailer into that loading area. That guard rail should be moved the same distance as those concrete blocks. Nice spot to back into. Back around 1986. Got into a dock in NYC, it was tight like that.Never slowed down backing into it. But had to get a fork lift to scoot the trailer over coming out. Pole was in the way coming out. Guy laughed and told me anything other then a cabover and 42ft trailer. He has to help them get out. And I was the first in a long time to back into it. With out help.

It's my experience that cat filters do save a lot of headaches. At my old job had CAT, Cummins, and Mercedes. The units were acquired through the bankruptcy court so we had a few cats that huge problems that we fixed and still had issues and it was oil and fuel filters. Awesome video

Love watching your videos along with several other of the KZread trucker videos. Really enjoy having you explain some of the technical aspects of the job along with the headaches too. One aspect of trucker life that drew my attention to trucker videos was the allure of the open road. I used to love driving the long distances to travel back when I was younger. I may be alone in this view but I personally would love to see more of the traveling down the highway footage that is a major part of being a trucker. I just love that part showing the highways of our country -- especially in areas where the scenery is beautiful as well as the footage that shows the headaches of navigating through the larger cities.

Cat filters go with Cat engines! I understand the oil change when your out on the road. But you can save a bunch of money if you change your own filters. I get mines (Water Separater & Secondary) from Kenworth or Cat and its $40 sump'em bucks for the two! The Seperator tends to clog first because it is first. And dont let anybody fool you on using anything else but Cat filters! Yeah they're made at the same place as Donaldson but Cat filters are in a class all by them selves. Not Donaldson, Fleetgaurd, Baldwin, Luberfinder, or Wix are built like a Cat filter or flow like a Cat filter! These Cat engines need plenty of air and fuel to perform like they're supposed to. I do like the Luberfinder air cleaners better that Fleetgaurd and they're cheaper! Since you fuel up at different places all the time, you need the best filters on your truck for that C15 at all times. Because some places may have more dirt or water in their underground tanks than others. Plus different climates play a part in that too. But if you cant get Cat filters, get Wix! They are good filters and have the same filtration specs as Cat but they dont flow as well as Cat. And yes i do have a big Kitty 3406e in my W900L...lol. Thats my two cents and a few more nickles. Sorry for being long winded. Great vid as always Dan✌

Dan, another great video. The problem with your fuel filter might be something to do with BiO diesel. We understand it has become a big problem for a lot of trucks nation wide. They can say what they want to but diesels were not suppose to burn chicken fat. We have heard it can be as high as a 50/50 blend.Injectors cant stand that stuff. Stay safe out there.

Dan,been thinking about your fuel filter all day,you MUST have picked up some water from a place you fueled ,water is just about the only thing that will plug up a filter,do you have a water separator on the Kitty Kat?

+Jim epps I've been thinking about it too. I had my truck washed a couple of days ago. Peterbilt fuel caps don't screw on they kind of latch on. There is a rubber O ring in the top of the cap. I've never replaced it. I thing water from the pressure wand at the truck wash got into the fuel tanks. I do have a water separator. I'm going to find a Peterbilt dealer and get new O rigs for the fuel caps

I would have thought that you would change your own fuel filters.... I do my own greasing and fuel filters. Too many problems with TA/Petro, Boss Shops, and Speedco's either not hitting all the zerks or over greasing some. It's irritating especially the price we pay.

Honestly I just don't want to get dirty. Its worth the $80 not to smell like diesel fuel. Speedco has been changing the oil in this truck since I first bought it that was 1.25 million miles ago.

Good thing you were in a good mood for that driveway. Did you dump the air for the trailer axle on the way in?

Hi Dan , I have used Baldwin filters forever, I think that you pay more for the Cat name . Are Cat filters made in China ? I use a performance additive and for a while there I thought you did to when you sped up around the lot. Hey Kallie you little potlicker. Great video, drive safe. Dave

Forgive the newbie question, but, what lead you to know that the fuel filters were clogged? lack of power or engine sputtering, or something else?
