Well, both games mimic the real life Shuto Expressway which was iconic for illegal high speed street races during the 80s and 90s. Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero was fucking amazing! Such a shame there hasn't been a game like it ever since.

It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. You can get entire setups that turn and shit, but it gives you a sense of cornering and body roll. Whether under acceleration, deceleration or turning etc. but not really a sense of power
