Not true. Learning from the mistakes and successes of others is often cheaper and less painful that making the mistakes yourself. Just saying.....you can figure things out just as successfully as doing the "experiments" yourself.......

A smaller flower in the center than the larger when you were making. So beautiful!

I’m so happy that u made this an experiment & swiped the center! As u we’re talking about making it a flip cup & questions from followers about what will happen if u use different colors, I thought to myself what If she does a different technique in the center? Then u decided to swipe & scrape away! As Soon as all those colors started to come through I was cheering u on. It was 6 am & I’m hollering & cheering @ u when u start to doubt what u chose to do.Thank u for giving us such detailed instructions on what is occurring with this style pour. I’ve been pouring for a few years & I have to say the biggest challenge I had in the beginning was finding tutorials that gave enough detail. I think when ur a professional u don’t realize someone new at it may need very elaborate instructions. For instance how each style/technique has different thickness & ur pouring medium may need to be much thinner/thicker for each. I struggled with tree rings until I caught a video u posted & u explained the paint must be a bit thicker to hold the lines in place. It was an aha moment for me. I’m someone that needs to know the “why” for my brain to grasp the concept. I believe someone brand new can come to ur channel & do their 1st pour without any confusion. I’m so proud to have been here on ur journey & u are definitely one of the best if not the best tutorials. Lastly I just want to say Thank u 4 talking us thru what ur doing as 90% of the channels now just play music & have subtitles pop up here & there. I find that everyone is in too much of a rush & just want instant gratification & this is not something that u can rush thru, u need the understanding of what happens if u want professional results. To any new comers trust me u want Julie’s detail & instructions, it will get u to the best outcome if u take the time to here what she is teaching. Now go get messy & don’t overthink the process as this is meant to be fun! Every persons paint pour is unique & beautiful & will speak to someone in a magical way.

For me, even though it was still pretty, taking the pallet knife to the center ruined it. The "ghostly" look in the center was beautiful and looked more organic than the forced "flower" type after the pallet knife.

Hi Julie ~ Oh my!!!! I actually think this was my favorite pour yet.......... until you made that last swipe! LOL! Personally, I prefer the "flower" (or butterfly) in the middle over the large solid black center, because I really love these colors. You are such a great teacher, I feel like I am taking classes from you because you explain how all of the various mediums/paints work. Thank-you!!!! This is a GREAT piece! :)
