I just about lost it when Ian came in and said "You never said I had to use a phone for this!" 🤣 My X has the Safety Score going, but since it's legacy I won't be getting the Beta until after the camera suite gets upgraded (later this year according to service techs). One thing that's irking me somewhat is that the only thing dragging my score down is it's dinging me for "excessive turns", which I can only attribute to a highway interchange that's a stupid cloverleaf design (270 degree turn for any exit since the highways are at 90 degrees to each other). I've taken it at 40 kph and still gotten dinged, and the limit is 55 - 75 kph, so I may have to change my route to avoid that if I want a score of above 94 🤬

I agree that better communications with customers and media is sorely needed.

I am staggered by how many people insist on wanting to drive so close to the vehicle in front. I tend to aim for something like double the distance to the car behind me to that in front of me. That way, I’m able to guarantee to not be part of one of those concertina style motorway pile-ups. I don’t get bothered when other vehicles slot into my lane in front of me, - I just readjust the gap. Contrary to apparent popular belief, it makes no difference at all to your arrival time, but it does increase the odds of doing so unharmed. I live by the two second rule - “ only a fool breaks the two second rule “. This means you pass a certain fixed point on the road 2 seconds after the car in front. This adjusts the distance to compensate for speed. I find the TACC needs to be set to 7 to achieve this and I wish it went to 9!

"Contrary to apparent popular belief, it makes no difference at all to your arrival time, but it does increase the odds of doing so unharmed." But it does. Averaging in that one harm filled drive, with its huge time, means that driving well, makes your average arrival time is minimal.

@@CorwynGC your reply doesn’t actually make sense grammatically. I assume you are in the popular belief category I mentioned. That doesn’t make it accurate.

Another nail in the head is the ride of the Model Y is harsher compared to the Model 3. I have the 20 inch wheels but I wish I had gotten the basic 19 inch.
