I think the most important thing people need to understand about the "twin flame" phenomenon is that it is NOT a romantic journey. It is one's Spiritual Journey. Yes, it is extremely exhausting... until you embrace your spiritual awakening. The intense, insane, bizarre, 24/7 obsession and longing happen because our "lowly" 3D Ego minds perceive the other person as a love interest. This is what happens, by Divine Design, to trigger our awakening. The obsession and longing eventually leads the person into a downward spiral, until the person experiences the Dark Night of the Soul (Ego Death) and that is the start of the person's spiritual awakening. Im not an expert on Tein flames but i say ride this wave with honesty and vulnerability. I understand that there are lessons to be learnt but what is most important is that you arrive at a place where you are your true self . I think this is also a journey that forces us to ourselves as we are, both what is considered bad and good . Yes you chase, yes you run but thats your truth. I think we struggle on this journey because we suddenly realised we are not so perfect, we are scarred. Your other( mirror) shows you a side you dont like. I wonder if this thing with older women is a new turn of what used to be much older men.

I'm constantly trying to find validation that he's NOT, despite of the massive Dark Night of the Soul I'm going through and the awakening process. I want to say this is all my imagination and limerence, so I can continue to focus on the Now and the Soul. I want him to NOT to be, so I can get rid of the pain, the dreams, and this sense of meaningless asap. I want to focus on what is truly important, get my joy back, instead of journaling my pain, waking up in the middle of the night every single day for 3 months feeling a black hole in my chest, and meditating constantly to balance my chakras. Yet I have no idea why I cannot shed this sorrow, why nothing works if I know what I'm doing is the right path? I cannot even talk to anyone because they will just say I'm deeply depressed, I need to see a doctor and take medication. I'm lost in the dark with this tiny little light that shines inside my Soul. I just hope the light won't go out...

There is only ONE way to get out of the 24/7 obsession and that is to ascend spiritually, which is what the TF journey is. As you already appear to understand, it is about "focusing" on the Soul and on the Now. The problem is, you are going about it in the wrong way. It isn't about "doing" anything. It isn't about mental exercises, clearing chakras, healing inner child wounds. Those things are fine to do, but they are all *psychological*, of the Ego mind. It is exactly the Ego mind that you want to transcend, which is part of the Spiritual Journey. You need to be doing Soul stuff, not Mind stuff, not psychological exercises and practices. Daily meditation is a method of going within, being still, being Present, shutting down the Ego mind. Expressing gratitude often is important. If you have already read Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" (it sounds like you have), then read it again. Tolle also has KZread videos, some of which are daily meditations. Perhaps you will understand better what "going within" is all about if you watch those. Also read Michael Singer's "The Untethered Soul". Those Spiritual Masters explain what transcending the Ego mind is and how to be in touch with our Soul. When you do Soul stuff and ascend to your Higher Self, you will feel a peace, joy, and fulfillment that you have never known before.

@@ddmr44 Actually, I started to read Tolle's book 2 days ago and I'm watching his lectures whenever I have the time. Brings me peace and more understanding... but I know I'm not there yet. My dreams and waking up everyday are tormenting me... Idk what to do about those because right when I manage to have a good day, the dream comes at night without failure. I've been watching Kurt's videos too and Singer's book is the next thing on my list. It's important to gather information... In the end, I guess I must to do as Venerable Thay teaches: I must embrace my suffering and take care of it. Once it becomes natural I'll suffer less and then release. Thank you so much for answering, it brings solace to get understanding from someone who knows what I'm going through isn't the byproduct of an insane mind.

I think I totally feel what you're going through. I myself went through a dark night of the soul. And at the time I didn't know that's even what was happening. It was brought to my attention that I am an empath. And had been struggling with so many others pains that were never mine. This might be what's happening. And when I told my good friend he told me that was not even a real thing and it was science fiction. So after major health problems and losing my trade job of 10 years. Feeling so broken not understanding why this was happening. But then I started to really accept these things into my life. One thing that really helped was this sitting in a place with your eyes closed put a timer for 15 minutes. Try this couple times a day make sure don't open your eyes until the timer runs out. This resets something within yourself. I still struggle with negative thoughts from time to time. I'm working on this when my inner critic says anything negative. Ask it to explain why it says this. It won't be able to. Then you know it's all the ego trying to keep you tethered to your old self. And letting go of who you used to be. This allows you to transition into your new self. Every day is another step into your new self. Good luck. I just felt like I was going crazy. But really it was my awakening to my new self.

What you are talking about with your twin flame is that when you met~ time literally stood still ( not moving). When I met my twin flame, it was Good Friday, almost two years ago to the date. I will never forget how just after I met her, I went back to the room that I was staying in ( hers was next door🚪), and I experienced the strangest sensation that I have ever seen and felt in my entire life. Streaming in my window was the brightest and most blazing spun that I have ever seen in my life. It was high in the sky and almost blinding me with its intense💡light, and it stayed like this for hours~ not moving at all or changing position in the sky in any way. I was in the realm of eternity with this other person~ as we were for the first time in this lifetime in the same physical location. It was early April, so there is no way in reality that the sun could be streaming and shining in my window so brightly like that ( like it does in the summer). Hours passed and my room stayed bright ( didn’t get dark~even though it was then nighttime). I also noticed that the trees, which should have been budding with life, green and vitality ( it was the second week in April), stood completely still, barren, and literally motionless, like they are in January. All that I could see was this huge bright sunlight illuminating my entire room. It was totally surreal. That huge sun I later found out, literally represented the enormous light energy that my twin flame carries in the universe ( she is of very high standing/ status in the physical world, as an entertainer,🌟who is heavily involved in the public eye). I did not know this at the time; all I could see is the light of a thousand suns ( stars), penetrating the very core of my being, from my root chakra, up to my crown. It was euphoric and terrifying all at the same time, because there literally was no time. This was all before I ever saw the band play. My cousin created the band a few years before, although I never went. Until Zack was the singer. I totally feel you! ❤ My twin passed about 20 years ago. He comes to my Dreams too but after the beginning he stopped and I understood that I needed to focus on living and he stepped back. However I could always telepathically communicate with him so it’s like he’s always there. At the beginning I was struggling on living on and my life became a series of making Dreams (or bucket list) come true. There was just always ”because I have not tried this or been there, I will do that.” Along the way I found true passions but on relationship part it has pretty much taken me the 20 years to be able to get into a New relationship, which is very odd to anyone who hasn’t gone trough such trauma. But maybe the biggest thing is the spiritual journey that started when my twin flame died.

The reason why I asked is I started to know and learning about this awakening path when I met a man whose seem to felt hard in love with me, which is a good looking one but he was not my type. We have no personal contact outside the company that we worked together. I just found out shortly before I quit that job that something that happened between us seems to match to the twin flame journey, not exact but enough for me to doubt. I don’t feel intimately but I think about him often(about all of our encounters) and dream about him. Can people who experience awakening but have nothing to do with the twin flame journey? @@noksviewoflife28 Twin flames are a possible way for the forced spiritual awakening but not the only one. But based on what you wrote I'm not sure that you've met your TF. This "relationship" begins with a highly romantic bubble phase that usually lasts only for a several weeks and then one suddenly starts running... and that triggers the chaser's ego death (if it's meant to be). If you hadn't had and showed romantic feelings for each other at the beginning (going on dates, kissing, have s.x, things like that) and after that he hadn't quit then it's possible that he isn't your "other" soul.
