Super ahmed To be fair its not like you can get game overs in Mario games nowadays, considering they always drown you with extra lives...Hell you end up getting 99 lives by the time you finish world 3...And I think losing coins after getting killed is a better punishment than losing a life since you need those coins to purchase clothing & items that's necessary to beat the game, with some being expensive to purchase.

It promotes long play times and exploration. Plus, the point of a game is not to punish you. Punishing games are frustrating. Plus, people will find an infinite lives trick in a traditional lives system.

Dying in today's games is not enough of a punishment since you have checkpoints every 2 feets... The point of a game is to see if you can succeed without dying. If you fail, there should be some kind of punishment other than respawning 2 feet away from where you died...

Ever since Mario 64 it's been completely obsolete. It saves after every star, game overs do literally nothing but waste time, making you go back to where you were. It's only an actual punishment in the Super/New Super Bros games.

The fact that Cappy a true ride or die and in this case definitely die is mad respect over all Mario’s other allies. Yoshi runs at the first form of contact, but your boy Cappy ain’t budging from Mario’s head even after they fall off _ENTIRE PLANETS_

I may sound a bit psychopathic, but Super Mario 64's death animations were far more disturbing and realistic. When Mario dies from an enemy, he rebounds and falls, just staying there. Also, the drowning part... EGGHH...

I thought Mario didn't need air. He always swims without drowning and in Super Mario Galaxy he can walk or fly around in space without protection. What makes this game so different?

God it's just like Super Mario Galaxy. 3 Health, 6 health extension, 1 health beep, and you get to watch Mario brutally die.

I just absolutely love the attention to detail that Nintendo had put in to this game, e.g. Mario's outfit gets dirty, depending on what damages him!

october 2017 will always be the month of old and new to me, old because of the superstar remake, and new because of oddesy, Both Franchises of RPG and Platforming i love.
