The problem stems from our society. The media portrayed her and her friends as such because they were an easy tool to aid in the oppression of others. The only thing Taylor and her friends did wrong was how they all just stood and watched it happen, they were too afraid they'd be eaten alive. It's a difficult situation to be in, no matter what they did they'd be dragged but if they had spoken up they'd be given some respect, we're only human though. It's usually always a deeper issue at the heart of our society. However people would rather blame a certain person or group instead of putting in the work to change our world for the better so we can see such things disappear.

Rihanna wasn’t really shading her. She was simply stating her honest opinion on the idea of touring with Swift and she understands her brand and image, as well as Taylor’s.

The one thing that really annoys me about Demi is she seems to not be friends with people because of their bodies as she sees them as "fake." If they're naturally lean/skinny or curvy, I feel like she calls them out because they don't look like her, which kinda defeats the point of her body-positive idea :/

Taylor has never claimed that she has a “squad”. It is just a group of friends that the media has named her squad. In fact, on multiple occasions, Taylor has said she doesn’t like to refer to them as a squad.

Things wrong with this: 1. Chloe’s comment was NOT about Taylor. She even told the world that it was not about her later. 2. Lena Dunman was in the bad blood video, along with others that do not have “slim” bodies 3. Nicki Minaj and Taylor apologized shortly after AND then they performed together at the VMAS... 4. Taylor’s “squad” is not meant to represent famous women with slim bodies. Taylor admitted that growing up, she was bullied and had very little friends. When she became famous, it was nice to have a lot of friends. Is it so wrong to want to show that to the world? After all these years, she finally got friends. Not to mention, after the 1989 era, she found that many of her “friends” used her for fame. Taylor is now okay with the fact that “no amount of friends at 25 will fill the empty seats at the lunch table” (or something like that- i’m not sure) - i know this video said “no hate” but i’m simply stating facts

Watching this now, after Miss Americana came out, and I watched it, after her speech when she received BILLBOARD'S WOMAN OF THE DECADE Award (YAS QUEEN!!), the TRUTH about the 'feud' came out, and After how she basically said that during that time she was just trying to find herself during a time when the crowd (or haters) was very loud. If no, who are you to say what or who she is when you have no proof of what you're saying. She got back up, and have the HIGHEST GROSSING Stadium tour and had the best-selling album of 2017. What happened in 2016 should never happen to anyone. It nearly broke her. Being called things like, "a snake", breaks people. But hey, she proved to those who doubted and hate(d) her that, her talent, intelligence, hard work and dedication will never be broken but instead be improved. Her story is, to me, one of the best comeback of all time. no, the media overplayed her innocent girl act. Taylor has just acted like herself. Just like any other teenager, Taylor did curse and she had friends, nothing horrible. Before high school though, she didn't really have much friends. Taylor sings songs about love and romance and if she was trying to win everyone over, she'd stop it because many people have a problem with that, but she didn't. She's an overall friendly person and again, nothing wrong with that.

Taylor's squad is not giving the wrong message. Its everyone who's so judgemental to sa "Her squad promotes unrealistic body size." Or "they are all fake." Just because all of the ladies in the squad is uniquely beautiful doesnt mean thay are promoting something or fake. You just dont get the message. Taylor's squads shows that they got rach others back and tha they perfectly happy with each other. Which makes them the most beautiful. They are not doing anything wrong to receive the hate. Seriously they're just showing what women could be when they team up and together theyre powerful. Its all about empowering sisterhood because at the end of the day its us girls who go each orhers back.

@Nalita Cloud9 i disagree. You have your opinion and i respect it but when you say all groups its not exactly right. True that not alot of big groups last forever and over time you just stick close with 2-3 or 4 friends but not all group friends start off because of selfish desires or just need of popularity. In fact ive made tons of group friends but i only invited in those who were trully trust worthy and those who needed help and someone who need to rely on someone. I basically made groups of people who had depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or attempts. And over time we broke off but we still stay in contact. Me and my friends simply made groups to bring comfort to those in need. (It basically became a therapy group xD) True there were few who joined in. (I believe 2 or 3) took advantage of our group to gain popularity and used us to make themselves feel better. So you are right but your are wrong as well

Honestly, I think her squad shows how in Hollywood you can still be friends with another stars. Especially when people like putting famous people against each other, this group of supporting friends is very beautiful
