Acually: Susanna Collins wrote the books to demonstrate how cruel humanity can be, and to show how horrible it would be if something like this would actually happen. It was a kind of a warning: to show this is how bad things can get; and then they turned them into movies, completely defying the point.

Let's face it, The Hunger Games is one of the most amazing franchises out there.

I could've sworn Susanne Collins got the HG idea from Ancient Rome and the way they had gladiators kill each other inside the Colosseum (arena) and that served as entertainment for the people.... I also heard that the way Katniss volunteered as tribute, the idea came from the legend of Theseus and the Minotaur and how he volunteered to go and take it upon himself to kill king Minos's Minotaur.

That's interesting about Jen going deaf in one ear from water pressure, considering that she went deaf from an explosion in the first book (the capital docs of course fixed her up).

Hunger Games Catching Fire is my favorite movie of all time (technically all are my favorite movies)❤️

The Johanna mason thing was hilarious! When we watched it in class (we were reading the books so that's why we watched it). Almost every person in the room when they got in the elevator started moving around. they started laughing and getting nervous 😂 and we watched that part in remediation with a different teacher than reading. So when that part ended she went "did that happen in the book or..." And we all laughed and went "yes" 😂 great times. I love the hunger games

The problem with clever news is that they all talk like texting 13 year olds. It's almost unbearable.

Well, they're trying to talk to fit in the the generation because Clevver News is a modern show. I get annoyed too, but I kind of get the purpose so I don't really mind it much.

Catching fire was the best out of the series so far. The hunger games was good but the hunger games mocking jay part 1 there wasn't much action but it was still good. But catching fire just had the most action and badass moments with Jen

Every time I watch any of the Hunger Games movies, I always find something new and interesting that I didn't see before!!

I would LOVE to see the hunger games but like how the districts would see it at home. Like the chariots, the interviews, the games, etc. It doesn’t even have to be the actual story characters, just a random year.

i can totally see Shailene as Katniss UPDATE: I DID NOT MEAN IN ANY WAY THAT ONE WAS BETTER THAN THE OTHER SO PLEASE STOP WITH YOUR BUTTHURT COMMENTS ALREADY.

I can so relate. I'm like Kat issue, I love archery and I'd do anything to protect my sister. I have a Prim, I mean I have the same relationship with my sister Maggie that Katniss has with Prim. And I have a buttercup. My cat is a different color but has the same nasty attitude towards me.

At 3:15, is it me or was that not gracious of them to do? *Oh thanks for standing in the scorching heat for hours on end with little to no pay while I make half a million dollars, heres a piece of paper with some scribble on it..yeah thats my name *points** right there."* I thought the host was going to say they gave out refreshments or set up some sort of air conditioner for all those poor kids but nope, an autograph. This book and movie series has impacted my life so much. This made me want to be really serious about being my dream of an actress and Scientist. J Law, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth are my inspirations and I hope to act with them one day.
