Chicago is my favorite city to visit in the U.S.?! Here are 11 reasons why!
Chicago is often passed over in favor of NYC, and while I love visiting New York, I find that I prefer Chicago. Many people are surprised to hear that, and often, those people have never been to the Second City! If that’s you, check out this video - you’ll find the birthplace of the skyscraper, an excellent restaurant and bar scene - just ask Michelin! You’ll encounter friendly, mid-western people who love to be outside in the summer-- at the parks and the beaches; the outdoor cafes and the rooftop terraces; on the lake and the river; at the ballgames, the festivals, and the concerts! This is a big city with a neighborhood feel.

I'll call you crazy...like a fox!!! My favourite big city!! I got to be stationed in North Chicago for 18 months. Visited almost every site in Chicago...except Wrigley! Planning a trip from my family to visit the Windy City...with a Cubs game planned!
I've chosen to live in Chicago for most of my life. It's a beautiful wonderful city with a great deal to offer. It certainly not perfect but then again... nothing is. The haters are basically politically motivated or misinformed by radical media.

I would say the same as any big city! Pay attention to your surroundings and research the areas/neighborhoods you want to visit! Have fun!!!
