This is most definitely one of the better videos out there about how to have a good time while in port in Ketchikan. Appreciate that it's real and no hype!
Alaska as a cruise, what adventure we have as Americans. I love it.

So smart to just get off the boat and see the prices. The cruise ships are ridiculous with their prices always
Ketchikan Creek st is beautiful ! We just came back from a cruise with a stop in Ketchikan and we really enjoyed it !
This looks like such a unique town. The crab fries look amazing 🤩🤤
We try to buy tours outside of cruise ship too. Crab fries looks tasty. The views are spectacular. Great video!

Wow, you bringing us some history. Never knew that the US purchased Alaska from Russia. Wow, nice tour on Dolly's House & too funny about the flowers being made from condums. 😂😂😂😂 Nice on the tour bus savings too.
So cool!
In the Caribbean if you book tours and excursions through the ship you won’t get let behind. If you book on your own, you’re responsible for getting back to the boat on time. Good info in your video. Lots of ideas.

On the Lumberjack show we pay less online. If you go to the website and it’s $37.00 per person plus tax. It does come up for $41.62.
Yummy!!!!
Where did you get the Crab Fries from?
Thanks for the video. I'm wondering, did you feel confident about getting back to the ship/dock area ontime when you took your shore excursion? That is one of my biggest concerns when not booking through the ship.
@SittinginaTree

Absolutely. I rarely do excursions with the ship and have never ran into issues making it back on time :-)

@@SittinginaTree The black bear was seen out at Herring Cove (or The Alaska Wildlife Sanctuary, it is about 8 miles out the road south from your cruise ship. The waterfall is located 2 miles further, known as Mile 10 Waterfall.

If you look harder at Ketchikan creek you can see the discarded needles that get tossed into the creek from drug users allot of heroin and meth activity especially park avenue by row of yellow houses

If Alaska was bought by America in 1867. Why did it not become a state until 1959?
Wow I had no idea Alaska was owned by Russia at one time.

$13 a can!!!!????
@arlenepoet5253
Жыл бұрын
It is crazy expensive, indeed! I justify it by realizing if I bought a boat, a fishing license, gas, harbor fees, it would cost a lot more! :) My favorite is to mix a can of sockeye with an equal amount of chopped walnuts. Add some craisins, liquid smoke and a little mayonnaise. Wonderful dip or sandwich material!
