Sangley can cater to southern NCR, and CALABARZON. Bulacan will cater to northern NCR plus Bulacan, Pangasinan and surrounding provinces. Clark will cater to Northern Luzon passengers and most importantly, a dedicated international airport for New Clark City. This leaves NAIA to either closure and redevelopment or renovation and hinder growth of Sangley/Bulacan airports.

I think NAIA should be demoted to a domestic airport forcing all of the internationals to use the newly built Manila airport nearby, most likely using NMIA in Bulacan. NMIA in Bulacan is very likely to be designed to accommodate all NAIA routes as well as add additional direct routes most likely going as far as an 8,700-mile direct flight between NMIA and Atlanta.

NAIA should be closed down as it sits in a highly dense populated urban area and surrounded by high rise buildings which is a flight hazard and on the ground the unbearable noise pollution, airports around the world these days are located far outside metropolitan areas.

@@ArtzieKit The New Manila International Airport is almost the same distance as Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport in the town of Roissy en France about 23km from the French capital roughly the same distance between Metro Manila and the NMIA in Bulacan. The airport was named after the French WW2 General and Statesman. The airport is so massive when I last travelled there are no high rise buildings in sight it also has excellent road and rail connections to the city and neighboring regions in northern France.

NEDA jus approved a 170 billion peso rehab of NAIA in July from a PPP consortium na magmamanage ng airport for 25 years so i doubt isasara yan

Baka gawin military base hub / logistics and maintenance facilities yung clark airport. Tapus yung NAIA naman baka gawin nalang Smart City / Silicon Valley or business district hub katulad sa BGC.

I don't think this airport will happen. I think only NMIA in Bulacan will be the airport designed to handle international flights as NAIA should be demoted to handle just domestic flights. NMIA can still handle domestic flights as flights to Manila from elsewhere within the Philippines will likely have 2 options. They can use Manila-NAIA or Manila-NMIA. The international traffic will mostly have to use Manila-NMIA as a layover.

@@ipeeeky I think an expanded Clark Airport and NMIA in Bulacan is enough for international flights. As there are no plans to close NAIA once NMIA opens, it should be demoted to handle only domestic flights. NMIA can still do domestic flights often used for transit passengers in which the Philippines is their final destination. Those who fly to Manila from elsewhere in the Philippines have a choice to fly to NAIA, NMIA, or Clark depending on the choice of the passenger deciding to fly to Manila.

I think after they build the Sangley Point International Airport in Cavite & New Manila International Airport in Bulacan. The Government will convert the NAIA into a Industrial Hub, Business District, Smart Cities, Open Space & Lifestyle Center like BGC.

Hindi po isasara yan, maaring ang NAIA ay magiging main airport pa rin ng mga foreigners at ibang pinoy mula sa malalapit na lungsod. Ang mangyayari dyan ay hindi na masyado gagamitin ng mga malalaking industrial parks na nasa North(Cental Luzon) at South(Calabarzon) ang NAIA sa pagexport nila gamit eroplano. At di na rin pupunta ang mga malalapit sa Bulacan at Cavite sa NAIA. Kaya mangyayari wala nang traffic sa 2 lang na runway at wala nang masyado pasahero dun at hindi na magrereklamo ang mga foreigners at ibang pinoy pag nandun sila sa NAIA.

Don’t you know a lot of airports are built in reclaimed land. For example Incheon airport or JFK airport. If you research you would know rain flooding the airports because they are near water is kind of dumb .
