I love how roger rolls. He did the same thing when he competed. Slow and methodical. Grinds his opponent out. Doing basic jiujitsu moves. Nothing fancy, just core fundamentals you’d learn as a white belt. He’s just mastered them to a degree and makes people look like rookies

basic jiujitsu moves? men you could think that, but the "basic" of that men is too technical, that "basic" has many little thing that mayority of the people cant see.
that purple belt is having exactly as much fun as i would expect someone rolling with roger to be having
I’m always extremely happy to see Roger. I’m a student at his club and the man really is a superstar. His leadership vibe along with the calm and light hearted-joking attitude makes him a role model. Please more uploads!! :)
I've never seen Roger this happy in any of his videos.
Props to the purple belt for taking it easy on Roger.
Man... This guy would still smoke the competition. GOAT

What makes BJJ great is that two guys trying to choke and twist each others arm off can laugh while they are doing it.

It's hard to find this kind of camaraderie in other martial arts, is common to see someone trying to take the other head of during a sparring in boxe/kickboxe,. There's a lot of competition out there
4:50 "This is how you escape" *taps*. My favourite technique
I’m gonna have to rewatch this 10000 times to truly understand
that's great, where else can you smile and laugh that much while building huge skillsets.OSS
I love how sticky his butterfly hooks are. Need to incorporate that.
The sequence at 4:20 is so fire. Amazing back take. I love that I can literally just watch Roger and learn because his Jiujitsu is just on another level
Amazing how Rogers moves are so crisp and flawless, perfection!!! Oss
Clearly working his half butterfly/sumi’s here. His a game was alway outside leg positioning, closed guard etc
Love that! cool fun rolls
Two of the best sweeps I’ve ever seen
The best. He makes look easy
That control is just amazing!!
I love this sparring
Had the pleasure of being taught by Roger in Belfast in June 2023. Gentleman who was always happy to pose for a photo with the students. Excellent teacher too
What an honor it must be to be a student in his school.
It`s pretty fun to watch this and compare it to myself as a 40 year old 4 stripe white belt. This looks like gentleman's Jiu Jitsu meanwhile I`m doing full on - collision -don`t know what I`m doing - kinda thing. Amazing to watch what kind of a chess playing attitude these two have whilst figuring out how to establish their "game" into the movement of the other.

I died laughing at that first wrist lock. All that defense and he finishes him off with that lol
Rolling with Roger looks exhausting
Poor Diren 🤣🤣🤣
Porra, que honra velho. Invejinha boa. Meu sonho ter esta oportunidade. Roger , melhor de todos.
BIG man + flawless techniques = unbeatable
Love his calm rolls
So technical, need to get my butterfly half to look a fraction as good as that lmao
Great job by that purple belt. He defended well considering who is sparring with.

Ive rolled with High level black belts and it was a nightmare. Then theres Roger, the goatias goat of them all. Swimming in quicksand. Diren did well to be fair. Roger did that to Buschea!
Didn't realise Diren had got his purple belt.
Well done Diren 💪🏻👊🏻
GOAT. ❤️🙏🏻
Imagine how awful his pressure would be if he went into full smash mode
Roger was just joking during the sparring, he is a beast, believe me. I trained a lot with him here in London, also I saw him smashing many good black belts from this new generation on his academy, also young black belt IBJJF world champion. 🫡

There are some interviews with him, including podcasts he’s been on, where he talks about how he achieved his skill. Definitely worth a listen.
I’ve been doing it two years now and still dont get it , love the rolling and understand the moves in class but implementing it I just don’t get . Kinda frustrating , just end up defending the whole time
The GOAT seems high most of the time if I'm honest
Does anyone know how much the jui jitsu classes are in london

I don’t know the price, but I’m confident that Roger collects arms and legs regularly.
No tripods in London bruv?
My goodness, that guy is exasperated, sweaty, puffin and Roger looks like he is chilling in the lounge watching TV. Not to mention that he is trying to stop Roger from advancing and whilst he is busy doing so, Roger is fishing kimuras, Ezekiels, etc. Must feel like you are fighting two guys at the same time...
Sure, Rodger got lucky a few times, but at least you really tired him out! ;)
I think this Gracie guy could have a bright future if he trains a bit more....
