I see what you’re saying. I just want an easy way to include more people into the story. So by knowing the lowest level of “pera pera” and hearing the highest level of “英語ネイティブ” you can really get a the feeling that being number 6 or number 5 is actually very awesome and more people should feel satisfaction if they can speak like Suzuki. But, ironically, in order to sound like Suzuki, you should mimic Miyazawa san- if you like his style. But if you want a different style, then mackenyu has a totally different vibe. Again, thanks for the comment as I believe conversation is the path forward

I think you should look at Akanishi-kun doing an English interview, instead of when he is having a conversation with his childhood friends, where it is natural to switch back and forth between the two languages.

You’re right. His English is amazing of course. I also wanted to throw in a few comments about code switching since this video had such good examples of it 😅

Hola!

but really, if anyone wants to bilingual they should pick an accent. British, Scottish whatever you like. I just see no need to speak in katakana English because it’s so hard to understand for people who aren’t used to it. Learning an American accent is really easy. There’s only like 5 to 10 sounds that are hard to say. So if you just take one week of your life, you can master those sounds so easily- if you just focus on it on do it. Anyway thanks for the comment
i sometimes see ppl hating on u for analyzing ppl’s English skills but I really appreciate these videos. U can really hear the difference between each speaker and their respective english levels.

Okay I’m finally dropping a comment here since not a lot of people seem to appreciate your video! I LOVE your channel among all other English KZreadrs. I guess Japanese people don’t get your humor that much. いつもありがとうって気持ちでどのチャンネルも観てたいです❤ Thanks a lot for your great show! I’m looking forward to the next one! Oh I must have missed this one… you posted this a good while ago… haha😅

Thanks for the comment🙏🏻 don’t worry about the fringe comments. It’s not like KZread forces anybody to watch. People are choosing to. But even then, my videos are for people who wanna learn how to be bilingual. So it’s best to stay in our lane and talk about being bilingual. One thing that always bothered me was I felt like I had to explain everything in Japanese… but if I spend too much time speaking Japanese then how is anyone gonna learn English? It’s not like everyone spoke English for me when I went to Japanese high school. The only reason I speak Japanese is because I spoke Japanese. So anyway, don’t feel too much obligation to explain things- but I appreciate your words. this channel is about learning to speak English so I hope to make better videos in the future. In the meantime, using famous people as an excuse to teach is kinda more exciting than just a boring lesson so I’ll keep trying to make videos with broad appeal. But it is all to get people to speak English sooner than later. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Well, you didn’t write that in English. So let me demonstrate a key principle that is gonna help you: the more you use English, the stronger it gets. It’s really no different than going to a gym so if you don’t feel “perfect” then don’t worry, I even have to check my grammar every once in a while. But check my pronunciation? Only on medical terms. Thanks for watching and don’t give up 💪🏻

I grew up in Japan and of course, speak Japanese, but I never thought of ranking who is not Japanese but speaks Japanese. Because I am proud of people who learn and speak different languages. Because I know how hard is.
@kysennpai
Aren’t you getting ranked if you take a TOIEC test? And Japan ranks one of the worst countries in Asia for English ability. So all this talk about ranking aside, because who cares. The issue is why does the average viewer of my channel NOT speak English at a level they could be satisfied with? That is the theme of all my videos. These famous people are a spectrum that reveals the possibilities. There is a path forward. There is a way to improve. And that path to improvement is NOT being taught by other teachers on a mass enough scale. I learned Japanese without the internet. So many people have had the internet for over 10 years and they still don’t know how to use it. Your comment to protect the egos of rich people is so far off base from what’s important. What’s important is MILLIONS of Japanese people don’t know how to become bilingual. So I am gonna continue to make videos because people need help. Using famous people as an example is a good way for people to project their own learning struggles and if they wanna learn more, they are invited to watch my only real lesson that I offer: stop watching lessons, get off the phone, go outside and talk to people.
