108mm Victorinox Safari
Fun story behind this dude. I appreciate the time spent with this blade, hope it serves you well.
I feel like a Lem Sorcerer would carry a SAK especially being a ravager.
Victornox made these 108mm to give a civilian option for the GAK. So basically switching the scales from green to red and switching emblems.

Very cool, really dig the saws.
I have the Mauser model, with and additional bowie blade that I really like. It is my pocket folding knife when I'm in the forest.
A couple of interesting facts about the 108mm versions are the saw blades have directional teeth, & the military models had a removable cover over the saw.. I believe it was so they could work on there rifles without cutting themselves on the saw teeth. I also believe the reamer awl is the longest of any on the SAK model’s

Yep I have some of the GAK with the cover, some have nail riles on the cover

I have the SAK version - I got it back in the mid 80's I think, and it came with the saw cover on it.

@@drouleau Dana Hi, I am guessing you mean a civilian version of the 108mm GAK. The green ones available to the general public were also issued to NATO troops so would have had the saw guard. I have heard that some of the red versions also came with a guard and others didn’t.
The GAK was my first ever Victorinox (I can't say SAK) purchased in 1991 in Germany in a military surplus shop when I was posted there in the British Army, brand new though not used surplus. I lost it a few years later and then a couple of years back when I tried to buy one I found out that they had been discontinued. Since then I bought a number of SAKs with a woodsaw - Hiker, Farmer, Farmer X and Soldier 08. I also bought a GAK replica which is not as well finished as the Vic I had but seems pretty robust. I hope that the one you showed is not one of the very poor replicas and is serviceable, like mine is. Btw I'm 99.9% sure that what you showed is a Farmer X (with added scissors) rather than a standard Farmer. Both great knives, I like the fact that they are based on the old model Soldier knife which was issued to generations of Swiss conscripts and career soldiers for almost half a century, I feel that this a good pedigree!
