@MatsGarage Enjoy his videos. Reminds me of a time when I tagged along grown ups busy at work. Also I wish it would of been more acceptable in my time to take carpentry and trade classes, but we didn't have the right instructors. It was so hard getting through regular classes without harassment.

A lovely dinner party for 4! How nice to see everyone in the warmth of the cabin, enjoying a pizza from the oven. The gorgeous new chair, like the ornate outdoor faucet, the new mirror above the basin, the hardware for the arched doorway, really models Martijn's aesthetic for the cabin. Martijn is like his grandfather, a creative drive informed by an eye for beauty. Martijn's grandfather built whole working steam engines from scratch. Martijn is building a beautiful life from the scratch of Val Pellice. The gift to us is that we get to watch!

I love to hear the chickens talking to each other. Their voices are so melodic. My chickens, like yours, follow me like puppies.

Spent most of my week in hospital. Watching your video took some of the weight I was feeling away. It is easy to get wrapped up in our own drama and lose the peace that sustains us. I like that Johannes and Martijn both go about their own way, when needed they connect and work together. And for the rest the friendship is not like they need to see each other every day. I think in times of need you can count on both man. Johannes is a more experienced man living in the mountains being Austrian. So i think it is wise for Mathijs and Ollie to listen to him when he explains things and also living longer in Italy and in that area so he is a good resource for help and info.

There's a proverb that says: Next to love, labor is the most precious gift of all ... Each and every week you demonstrate that. Thank you ...

So nice to see the trees leafing out, but it's still not too warm to use the indoor oven. And it did my heart good to see that the dog who comes to visit once in a while has a home. But the best is knowing that, on those miserable, cold last days of winter, you can go inside and be warm and snug. Have a great week, Martijn.

It is coming together for you. I did many things to a house once. Many small projects. It took 10 years. I did all the work and knew what it would look like and how it would function after. I loved that house. Doing all of the work makes it your home. It feels good watching you becoming part of it and it part of you. Your home.

It’s one of the most hideous chairs I think I’ve seen in my entire life.

Martijn, your stonework skills and woodworking skills are very good. The door you made for the utility area wasn’t easy but it looks perfect. I love how the chickens follow you around. Now that you have a comfortable home to live in with less urgent projects to complete, working outside this spring and summer will be more enjoyable. Love your videos and happy you found out where the dog lives.
