OneofInfinity that’s probably because they didn’t spend a lot of time hunting, fishing, and exploring. Took me about 80 hours to complete it without getting sidetracked with a lot of quests different from the storyline.

Arthur's weight actually WILL change his abilities. A heavier Arthur will absorb more damage, but have less stamina, and the opposite is true is Arthur is thin.

Probably the most beautiful world I’ve ever got to play in. Story mode is fantastic and even after 1000’s of hours I can still easily jump in and lose a few hours of my life to this game! The horses alone r just so spectacular to get to know!

I truly would love to see GTA game with a story as good as RDR's story

I recently got a trophy for running over 5 bunnies when riding a horse. This game has little ways to amaze us, even outside the story and the more obvious side activities. The best thing about it is that you really don't have to play through the story to enjoy it; there are so many other things to do. I got this game last year in December and I've yet to find something too bad to say about it. My only gripe would be that it wasn't released early enough for me to show to my grandfather who loved westerns his whole life. He passed before I bought the game and my first interaction with it was bogged down by those sorrowful feelings. RDR2 turned out to be the best thing to help me cope with my loss so it became a very special experience to me. Maybe it's a "gamer" thing that an ultra immersive rpg helped quell the grief but I'm not complaining. The game is fantastic so if you don't have it and really, really love cowboys and the wild west, you need to go ahead and get yourself a copy/download. *just a note that it took over 4 hours for me to download it on my ps4 so that's the kind of wait time you'll be looking at but it is WORTH IT *ps I'm the weirdo who's playing right now as they're watching videos just because the lone cowboy exploring stuff in the midnight bayou ambient music is quite chilling without other noise in the room #justsaying

I really appreciate everything they did they worked their asses off on this game

No wonder the game took 8 years. The devs really put little details like the fact that you can get struck by lightning. And the story is just perfect. Long, detailed, fun. I’m glad that they took their time with it and didn’t rush

To this date

For a game to be impactful narrativity as most films and story focused games is phenomenal due to the fact it's also got the best open world environment. There's something so beautiful about camping in the wild like a Survival roleplay Experience for hours on end, and to realize 4 Hours later; Oh yeah this has a campaign, and tons of other stuff to feel the time. It's a gift to be honest, by far the best and most underrated game to hit this generation.

I just hope the next rdr would be set in 1860s the peak of wild west and civil war era

I captured the White Arabian Horse at the beginning of the game. I named her Guinevere. Best horse, max bond. I took that horse on so many hunting trips. One time on the way back from hunting I wasn’t paying attention and rode straight into someone’s camp and flipped my horse over and it landed in the fire and burned to death. I was then shot by the guys who were camping and died. I hadn’t saved at all that day so I lost that horse for good. Wrecked.

Arthur Morgan and all the protagonists from the GTA series (including all 3 playable characters in GTA5) could swim. John Marston can’t. For some reason Dutch or the people at the orphanage he was held in never bothered to teach him how to swim. But I think the real reason he can’t swim is because back in 2010, Rockstar didn’t want the players trying to go out-of-bounds map wise. They fixed this in RDR2 with you simply drowning if you go too far, but I guess Rockstar didn’t really think about it since aside from Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption 1 was the only real spaghetti Western they were making at the time. And in the GTA games, you could use a helicopter or a plane to get off the mainland. However helicopters obviously didn’t exist yet and planes were just invented a couple years earlier in 1903. Remember, Red Dead Redemption 1 is in 1911/1914. And Red Dead Redemption 2 goes back farther in time to 1899, with the Epilogue in 1907. And since RDR2’s Epilogue is set in 1907, planes existed but weren’t as popular as they are in RDR1. And obviously since the main game takes place in 1899, planes didn’t even exist yet. What I’m trying to say is, Rockstar simply didn’t think about having simple water transportation like rowboats or steamboats. Hence why both John and Jack can’t swim.

I love how you can interact with the dogs. However, i went to go fishing at some lake and came across a guy and his dog, He didn't want anything to do with me so i thought id go pat the dog. Wrong button. Shot the dog. Felt terrible. Then i had to chase down the owner and shoot him in the back of the head because i'd wanna die if someone shot my dog in front of me .. i mean what kind of life do you live after that? Any-hoo fishing's really good!

I was running with my horse through a bush and accidently ran one over. I didn't know I did all I heard was a whine so I went back to see what it was and the poor thing was laying on its side. I went to try and pet it. Pushed circle on accident and killed it. I was so sad while my brother was laughing. Then I became wanted for animal cruelty. Lmao

RDR2 is an absolute masterpiece and a technical achievement. I have played 100’s of hours in this world and to this day I am still impressed and blown away by the level of detail! I still find new things to do and still have new interactions with many of the NPC’s in the world. If RDR2 set the new standard for open-world games, I can only imagine what Rockstar has in store for us with GTA 6!!! I don’t think we’re ready....

Man. Can't believe its already been almost two years. Literally felt like yesterday i was anxiously waiting for multiple hours of downloading time. But i must say, it was worth it.

This guy tried too hard to make 107 facts. It's like a school paper where you're forced to write extra stuff that's obvious to everyone

RDR2 set the bar for what an openworld immersive videogame experience should be. The story is amazing. I actually teared up a few times, and had seething rage toward Micah. If you hate a fictional charachter, thats good writing. And I do have a relationship w my horse. Its silly, its just a video game, but its so dynamic it feels like a real pet. My reputation matters to me, I feel bad when I have to be a bad guy, or wing an animal and have to watch it suffer before it dies. Thats not like me at all, I am usually the guy who blows up NPCs and animals for laughs. Games like Far Cry 5, I am a complete psychopath. Aside from Boomer the dog, I have no attatchment to any of the charachters or regrets when they die. The immersion level is off the charts. Its basicly the greatest interactive wild west movie ever written. And for PS4, its visually mind blowing. I can practically smell the oil fields and the mountains make me feel cold and alone. Some of the prettiest sunrises I ever saw have been in this game. I can't wait to get a PS5 and play RDR2. Its a shame Rockstar doesn't seem interested in keeping the Online game alive. If only it sold more microtransactions they might care. But even the grind is fun and most folks don't mind doing it.

something else fun. in saint Denis if you're near dutch and Lenny when they're waiting for you to show up for the trolley station robbery, if you become wanted they will rush out and help you evade the law

Watching this in 2023 as I’m currently playing my second go through the game. Amazing the hype this game had going in to launch and even more insane that it lived up to it ….. !

i rlly watched this and went, "wow!! oh that's neat!" even tho i have literally finished the epilogue twice and know these things -

17:03 they progammed the horse mechanics for year, but in rdo horses controls are sluggish especially when your on a wagon (ex: bounty wagon)

I love this game so much because it has such an emotional impact on me. No spoilers, but this is a sad story. Almost like an old Greek Tragedy type of thing.

Red Dead Redemption should remain untouched, it is beautiful even with the inferior graphics and technical aspect. I pre-ordered the Special Edition and would have liked Red Dead Revolver as a bonus

I visited Arthur’s grave last night. Just sat there as John and thought about all the good times I had playing as Arthur.

The fact that you can see sunlight through ears, noses and fingers was so stunning it blew me away. Masterpiece of artistic vision
