106. Instrumentation Amplifiers

A video that's far too long :)
This video goes over the basics of Instrumentation Amplifiers: theory of operation, useful features, how gain is calculated, and tests of gain, CMRR, and CMR.
tools.analog.c...
Found a little error in the way I explained the derivation of the formula - the result of the equation is correct though. It's near the end of the explanation - I'll leave it to the eagle-eyed to discover. Again, the answer is right, my explanation was off.

That resistor trimming tip is a neat trick. Great video!

I am not sure I caught this point. At what time does it occur in the video. Thanks for this help.

Thank you for the excellent video! I am a self-taught EE hobbyist and only have hobbyist needs. I was considering building an In Amp from scratch for learning purposes, but due to the precision parts/resistors needed, I am considering an all-in-one package. With the gain of the AD2221 (correct #?) not reaching its expected goal and its function left uncertain, I am wondering two things... 1) Should I feel confident enough to use the 2221? 2) what other chips should I consider, having a price point of $20USD, or less?

I see that the correct part number is AD8221.

Sorry Sir, there are more than one error. In 17:50 (2R1+1)/RG is wrong. Later you use the right term (2R1/RG + 1) . VOUT = (R4/R3)*(VA-VD) is wrong. It is VOUT = (R4/R3)*(VD-VA). Where is R5 and R6?
