Hope it went ok for you. The noise ended up being the bearings for the differential in the transmission. I bought a used trans from a rear-ended soul and swapped our out. So now I can pull the cv's out without a sweat as I have become an expert at it.

@@PoorMansDIY Well i got overtime at work so i thought i better take it.On the way to work to the Covid testing site my car was losing traction and was sporadically steering by itself.I parked a mile away and told my boss i dare not drive my car as its dangerous.I think she thought i was trying to get out of work.She said just get it to site and get it recovered from there .The car got me to work.I pulled to the right to reverse back into a space went to reverse and the car would not move. I got out of my car and on closer inspection one wheel was facing east and one west like Doc Emette Brown as his Dalorian goes into flying mode:) I was blocking the whole channel to the car park it was clear the Tie rod end had snapped in half.so i kicked one wheel straight turned the other wheel straight and pushed car back in two spaces diagonal if you will.I was thinking well thats the overtime money down the pan chuckle.I rang my insurance and they was sending me recovery.then they rang me back saying it was a week out of MOT.I said ok it had totally slipped my mind they was adamant they would not recover the car to a garage.I had to get a private tow truck who recommended a company to me. To be fair they had me by the balls and could of took Advantage but for the recovery a full mot tie rod end and some repairs it was £312 i was very lucky bruv.still gonna buy them tools though:)

@@SuperRickyjenkins i would have told the boss she owed me the 312 and that she put my life at risk. Had the tie rod snapped while driving down the road you could have been seriously injured or killed. if she wanted you at work she should have sent someone to pick you up.

Kinda skipped the install into the transmission didn't you? That's the important part. They don't all just pop right in.....

The CV Axles just popped right in. Just a firm push and the snap ring locked it in.

So how did you get it pulled out, cause I have mine stuck in there
