Oh the memories. Living in So Cal in the 80's was amazing. I was a huge fan of Wally George and KNAC. You can see in old episodes about half of the hot seat studio audiences were made up of young folks sporting Metal shirts and battle vests. Metalheads that got Wally, loved Wally and would play along with his rants about Metal, cheering wildly and chanting WALLY, WALLY, WALLY. It was freaking awesome. I mean we are talking Orange County California in the 80s, Neo-Conservatism made for a ripe breeding ground for Metal music. Wally George was extremely entertaining goofy showman. There will never be anything like the Hot Seat ever again. Check out the episodes he did with one of his favorite punching bags Tom Metzger. TV gold right there.

His camerman Mike was in a punk band with 3 of my buddies (final fear) he was classic man. No matter how their show was, Mike would kick his drum kit, throw his stick mumblin loudly about. "We fkn sucked. That fkn. Sucked!! He was like 10 yrs older than me and he scared the shit outta me man. But we used to get wild old hippie clothes at goodwill and big afro wigs n shit and go watch the Wally George show. We were there when the mentors were there. It was great. Thank god El Deuce kissed that traint though, He deserved it. He was a real piece of shit, that wasnt no act.
