The picture doesn't do this flower justice. So much prettier in person! If you give this a try, please be sure to tag me. I'd love to see how you do.

    Your video was not only interesting to watch but for me, informative too. Your rainbow flower is beautiful. So, you prefer painting on a ceramic tile rather than a canvas or a synthetic paper? True artists make their particular medium look so easy when we all know that it really isn’t!! You are certainly in that category. Your creations truly are beautiful! Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🤗

    Thank you again. I usually work on photo paper when using alcohol ink, although I sometimes use canvas as well. Working on tile is easy and fun because you can easily remove any parts you dont like or wipe the entire painting off with alcohol and start again.

  • @VivoVintageDesigns

    @VivoVintageDesigns

    @@nanasue4481 I use Kirkland photo paper. You should only use the matte side, which is the back side of the paper. The front glossy side is designed to accept ink when a photo is copied on to it, so the ink does not move and will not flow freely as it does on the back.

    Thank you. If it's going to only be decorative, then I would use 2 coats of kamar varnish and 2 coats of kamar UV protection. If you want to use it as a trivet, you should do the above the put a coat of resin of your choice over it. Then you can use it either way.

    I don't use one. I have great ventilation in my studio. 2 windows, a door and 2 fans. 1 blowing g the fumes away from me and the other sucking them out the window. Most importantly, I only work with the inks about once a week and never more than 20 - 30 minutes. You should absolutely take whatever precautions you feel necessary if you don't have good ventilation or use them for extended periods of time, multiple times a week.

    They are alcohol ink markers. The link is listed in the description box just below the video if you'd like more info. Not expensive for the amount of markers you get and although not my favorite for photo paper, they work well on tile.
