You do realise that the Galaxy and the Solar System are 2 different things, right?
155 days to reach the sun at our current propulsion rate.. Not 70,000 yrs..
@waveark731

Andromeda it would take 70,000 years to reach Proxima Centauri, that’s probably what he read but it probably also refers to it as the closest star to us so he go confused.

He meant it would take 70k yrs to reach the Sun if you travelled to it on a medium like road. He probably took a top speed of a rocket and used division to find the time it takes to travel to the Sun. Reality is very different thought. To travel in space, you don't take some direct highway, you take an orbit. Simply said to avoid all the complicated "rocket science", you would travel a lot faster to the Sun because you accelerate rapidly towards it, just as you do from falling down to Earth.

brother we need a space facts pt2 etc. I know you'll do the right thing :P
and im also pretty sure that heavier elements such as gold, silver and platinum etc can only be made in a super nova because stars die as soon as they create iron in the core because it takes more energy to fuse iron atoms than the fusion creates and iron is a far lighter element and our sun just isnt hot enough and doesnt contain a high enough pressure to make anything heavier than iron
Pluto is quite larger than America. That's been proven.

In response to numbers 80 & 81 there is a Japanese movie I saw where the plot for the movie is that they in fact, send cockroaches to mars with some sort of moss hoping they would spread it around in an attempt to terraform it.
