Shifter karts are faster than Honda Civics. They're faster than many other cars too. 125cc KZ class shifters do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

Marco Brancorsini you mean quicker. Even a civic might do 115 mph and it’s pretty bottom tier in the auto classes.. Quicker = acceleration. Faster = top speed

Way back in the 1960's, We used to test our single engine 2 cycle kart (non shifter) during the week before we would race on the weekends, until our neighbors got tired of the noise pollution. Ended up going to college parking lots when no one was around. Like your karts, mine was also a noise maker even with a small muffler on it. They didn't have shifter karts in my weekend racing. Definitely the jets...if you listen its running great the top end..its just a little rich on the bottom...won't hurt anything but performance..there's no fuel pump on these machines..

@@mhm8222 there are fuel pumps, they are powered by the vacuum from the intake. This is the sound of starving for fuel not incorrect jets. Its either fuel pump, carb float, or ignition coil/plug

Check ignition coil lead for shorts, spark plug gap as well. Check gap between the flywheel and coil. You can also have internal breakdown of the windings in the coil, why it loads up at lower RPM's. Thats why you run better at high rpm's than lower and not clean.

Thankfully no cops chased us these ran like crap 💩
