Bought a 2006 Chevy Silverado with 60,000 last year.Found that previous owner only used it on sundays to go to church then it was garaged all the time.Never saw snow till this year. Love this truck.. Has no rust and paint is orginial. No fading at all. One thing never said on all these videos is to spray a lubricant inside the rocker panels and wheel wells to keep rusting from inside out. I do this twice a year.

Our ranch errand grocery runner truck is a k1500 GMC 4.3L and has just over 342,000 miles. Just keeping it maintained. Replaced the distributor and wheel bearings, but it runs excellent.

Mine has 322k miles still drives great

Slow Goat would you still put your truck on the highway for a 500 mile ride just asking because I have a 04 GMC with 230K and I’m thinking about it!

@@querich3079 kind of a late response but if youve kept up on maintenance and the truck runs just fine with no problems that are starting to boil you should be fine

@@querich3079 I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 and I've made dozens of 1,500 mile trips on it through extreme hot and cold weather, it's never given me any problems.

Fire up that 5.3 with the cherry bomb! Thought I was watching an Exhaust Addicts video. 🤣

Replace transfer case fluid every 50k per owner manual. Use only GM Auto Trak II fluid.

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra like you show. Over 221,000 miles. Beginning to make a loud pop sound when I go from park to reverse. Never had transmission serviced. Does the pop sound indicate a problem with the transmission?

Use a torque wrench on the Transfer case fill and drain plug or you risk cracking the case.

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra SLE extended cab 2wd unfortunately and the old girl has 124,218 on the odometer as of the other day. It's my daily driver and it has the 5.3 liter V8 285 Horsepower 325 ft pounds of torque Stock. I think every GMC Sierra owner should do this to there truck it not only increases horsepower and torque but it also saves you a pretty decent amount on gas mileage too!!!😮 I added a K&N Air Intake System I added a Cat-Back dual-exhaust systems play flowmaster FX dual exhaust system with high-flow cats and this truck comes originally dualed from the factory some modifications are needed to make it true dual exhaust. I also did a final touch by adding a Diablo 87 octane tune which was the most complicated thing to do. I had to set a specific tune to the truck apply it and then test drive the truck for a few days to see how I like it it took me four tunes to find the right one. The last one I did was the most perfect tune the things shifted the way I wanted it to smoothly the up shifts and downshifts shifted like absolute butter and the increased power and torque put me back in my seat. I brought my truck to the dino again and wanted to see what this all did for an upgrade I was very happy with everything I did what nervous at the same time that it didn't increase my power to what I wanted. After he tested it and called me back in because I wanted him to do his work I didn't want to interfere I wanted this over and done with as quick as possible so I could find out. The truck was pushing 402 horsepower + 495 foot pounds of torque I couldn't believe the horsepower increase I got from everything. My mechanic told me I did not want to increase any more power than this is the transmission will not be able to take it. Plus he said these motors usually top off at about 500 to 550 horsepower that's all you can get out of these maximum. But with everything I did I also had to do a lot of repairs to the truck thousands of dollars actually it needed quite a bit of work. New drive shaft fuel lines a hundred percent emergency brake hardware all gutted and replaced all new brakes rotors pads calipers front and back inner and outer tie rods all new wheel bearing hub assemblies brand new knock sensor brand new mass air flow sensor new battery new belts new tensioner pulley new plugs wires coil pack all new power motor for both the power windows the fan motor the fan motor switch that controls the speed of the fan. The upper and lower ball joints and control arms or still in great shape I did not need to replace those just yet. There's still quite a bit of other things I did to it but I just can't remember it. These trucks are extremely reliable but are very very expensive

Where is the fuel emergency shut off switch I can’t find it on my 1999 sierra 1500 extended pick up. It only runs a few seconds and then shuts off. The pump is running but we don’t get any fuel the inertia switch.

117,000 on mine, good to know.

You missed pump rub in the transfer case. My tranny gasket was a heavy duty rubber, reused it without any problems

1Aauto, do you know if the original oil pressure sensor has been switched out before?

Radiator cracks, water pump, pitman and idler arms, front wheel bearings, knock sensor, actautor arm, and header bolts snapping off on own creating small exhaust "knock" when cold. Other than that truck gets down the road.

I haven’t changed my transmission fluid at 292,000miles in my 02’ Sierra 2500 HD.No problems yet.Would it hurt to change now?
