Thank You! I'm second owner of a 95 s10 which just hit 104k I want to keep up as did the 1st owner but worry about being taken advantage of because of my gender. I am very mechanically inclined and have serviced my cars in the past, still with all you've shown here I can negotiate service with confidence. Awesome,.

Good thorough inspection always pays off at the end thank you for the guidelines. I’ve got 320,000 miles out of my 2000 Chevrolet doing the same type of inspections and seal repairs as needed. And she still runs like a champ!

Damn. I wish I had that kind of luck. I just had the fuel injector spider assembly replaced at a shop and now it's trying to give up the ghost and it has about 178k miles on it. It's misfiring extremely badly and the SES light is flashing over and over.

Excellent video, I would like to add 2 issues if I might. First of all there a still stickshift trucks out there. So you might want to add checking the clutch fluid. The next issue is one that I believe is very important and that is the MAF, you did brush over that, but I believe consumers should know how import maintaining and cleaning the MAF is. I believe it is the single most critical componet on the vehicle. Easy to maintain and clean. Just my opinion.

Hey guys I really find your channel useful and it has helped me alot I feel like you jumped over mentioning vacuum lines all of the s10s that I've owned had some kind of high idle or a 4wd issue related to the vacuum lines and I could never find information on like a schematic explaining the entire vacuum system they don't sell kits that are cut to length so you always have to buy 20 some feet of vacuum line to replace all of them even then still couldn't find much info on what lines go where even clymer manuals didn't have much info I apriteate your channel and it has helped me tremendously thank you for the content

My car is coming up on it's 12th anniversary in mid 2021, and I've only put 54k original miles on it. I have to imagine I need to follow some alternative maintenance schedule. I change the oil every year. I've had the transmission fluid changed, the valve cover gasket changed, the AC evap changed and all motor mounts changed. I also changed my own plugs and coils. I'm still rocking the original brake pads, brake fluid, power steering fluid, antifreeze(orange) and belt. I'm gonna have this Ford Focus forever!

Big problem with the ZR-2 in this generation....seal failure between the auto trans and the transfer case...over time atf will migrate into the transfer case overfilling it and lowering the atf level in the trans....then when the 4-wheel drive is engaged atf will be pulled into the vacuum lines and into the four wheel drive actuators....piss poor design GM!
