1000HP Subaru STI is an Evo’s Worst Nightmare

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here's an 1000HP Subaru STI that didn't break during a video. In all seriousness Parker's insane Subaru WRX STI Hawkeye is not for the weak - it makes 1000HP to the wheels, has a massive turbo, and breathtaking acceleration. So let's go for a rip and talk about it!

  • @Biface

    @Biface

    Жыл бұрын

    i feel like if you compared any car to the ratio in which they were stock vs tuned, obviously tuned numbers would be less so when compared to total sales numbers, as its a more niche thing to be doing to a car. Plus wrx's are still sold new (with exception to the va which also was the last STI run) so obviously fewer would be tuned than older cars for instance. Also, evos/stis are awd cars, usually based for grip builds, so you dont really need speed for that.

IMO it's better to pick up a cash WRX as a weekender and slowly build it or keep it stock for maximum reliability, they are really good handling and grippy cars for sure though.

    Always loved the Evo's engine and looks, but the sound on the Subie is hard to pass up. Unfortunately this level of build is a ticking time bomb and the cost to get it to make that kind of power is just unrealistic for the majority of people. Getting an LS or even 4G63 to that power level is probably half the cost. Amazing build though.

    Then you’d need an STI trans and gear box for the evo, still spending money to beef something up and let’s not act like the 4g doesn’t have crank walk. They both need built up and have supporting mods to make power.
