    That qaudzilla kicks ass. Those XLT are good sleds stock, its once you add pipes they get extremely finicky , the fastest out of all those sleds will be the ZRT or the ski doo both sleds will break 110 mph or more on a nice lake. The ZR 440 will leave them all the dust in the twisty trails . Yamahas are good sleds just lack a good suspension. With some pipes you can wake those red heads up. Gearing an good clutching are the best mods for any sled😎. Since you guyd have mostly triples you need some good distance to really winde them out .

    @@ronnieheath6840 I've had alot of different polaris sleds so far in my life.. My 1997 xlt 600 was one of the lesser problem sleds.. It had about 3400 miles on it.. As long as the carbs are clean and the floats don't stick they run great.. if you have a problem with flooding make sure to take the 3 (10mm) bolts that are located at the bottom of the block out to drain the fuel so you don't wipe your bearings out. Also make sure you run the proper spark plugs for your region so it is not too hot or cold of a plug... They are great sleds . I wish you alot of luck and fun with it.

  • @adamwagner1987

    @adamwagner1987

    Жыл бұрын

    @@ronnieheath6840 make sure the carbs are all in sync and open equally as well.. with the motor not running , you can do that by taking the air box off and seeing where the carb slides are sitting with no throttle . Then hold open throttle to make sure they are all open equally.(make sure when re installing the air box it is sealed well or you will get a bog).. proper operating carbs will ensure easier starting , proper air to fuel ratio and power.. I assume the jets are stock in them for your region. Proper jetting can really wake or break a machine.. make sure you grease all fittings and to hold on and have fun 👍

    Tip for the cleaner. Use ziplock bags for small or large parts and fill with solution of your choice, then you only need to fill the actual cleaner with water and a bit of soap. Saves chemicals and if a bag opens you can just dump and start over. You can have several bags in different chemicals and save time.

    Matt alignment of clutches is ussally no more then add or subtract a few shims behind the secondary. Idk bout this moving the motor. I’m a Polaris for life and there’s no motor moving to center up clutches. Ps there’s a torque rod adjustable adjustment. Got to incision the engine twist under load. So square and parallel at rest will result in not parallel and straight under load. If your tool set down in garage then it will be off when the engine engages the engine is going to pull backwards on clutch side bring it right into alignment. Idk

    Hack for the ultrasonic cleaner. Don't waste all the cleaner solution to fill it up. Just fill it up with water. Take ball jars put your pieces in them fill them with the cleaner solution then put the lid on tight. Set the jars in the water and boom clean clear water and just using small amounts of the cleaner per jar. You can reuse the jars . Bigger pieces obviously wont work. But Works wonders. hey nick, fill you ultrasonic cleaner tank with plain water. get yourself some plastic jars like the peanut butter ones add fill those with gas or strong cleaner and put your carb and little parts in the jar. the ultrasonic will go right thru the jar and clean them in the jar. after a while you just dump the little jars liquid out, not the entire tank of cleaner. plus all the parts for that carb are in the jar and not lost. you will never have to dump a entire tank out again. get a few jars plastic or glass jars, doesnt matter and you can run it over night and never have missing parts.
