Makkah is one of the world's oldest temple. From time immemorial till 500AD there was only one symbol of the Supreme Being ( God, Allah, Paramatma, Rab, Khuda, Shiv )that was a black stone in the shape of a phallus representing the Universal Father and the Vigana representing His eternal energies or Shakti. 500 AD onwards worship of various demigods by way of Idol Started due to Brahmin Business through out the Middle East and Hindustan . You will not find a single temple with personified image of any God dateing before 500AD even in India also except Phallic representation of the Supreme Father as his form is nonspecific. Thus Prophet destroyed all the idol of different demigods that had been installed in Kaaba by the priests there except the Black stone representing the Universal Father or Allah/ Shiv.

We know that Prophet Moses (PBUH) also made Hajj in his life time. So Kaba was not only for Arabs:) Prophet Abraham was born in Iraq? So he was also an Arab:). If you had read the Quran Allah has said that Allah had selected the jews to practice Islam and they disobeyed and Allah used Arabs to spread his message of ONE God who did a great job.
