100 years of the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES)

UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) is celebrating its centenary this year. One hundred years after Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, who later became the first President of Czechoslovakia, delivered the lecture that inaugurated the School, we now stand as a world-leading institution specialising in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union.
