I really can't imagine how 192 people gave these stories a thumbs down. Morts stories may be real or not? Maybe long or short. But this is just the reason why they call them stories. You have to decide that for yourself. But that's the fun part, letting your imagination run wild. Wondering could they be real? And those days when you're going crazy and need that mental release. Or you may need to have your mind on something else besides your crazy life. My point in saying that is.. Why would give him a thumb down? Mortis works really hard filling that needs for us. Taking his time when he could be doing something else. We ( The Fans) really appreciate him!!.We Love the way he reads these stories. He talks like he's not reading something, but he's remembering something. I just find it ugly that you give him a thumbs down. If you don't appreciate the stories then just quit listening. If one story offends you let him know and give him the respect and time to reply. And I'm sure you will be satisfied. And don't keep closing your mind to a great trip!!

As long as something exists there will be folks who don't like it. The only alternative would be removing the dislike button and that's a removal of expression/feedback. Trying to silence those who volunteer their opinion is cowardly and autocratic. I happen to really enjoy this channel and don't agree with those that dislike it but I'm glad people have the option to.

Yes, he has an excellent voice. I can't be frightened by the obviously fictional, and so gravitate to these sorts of supposedly "true" tales. Two gentlemen doing the fictional stuff have great voices too--- Creepen and Temper. I just can't get into their stories anymore. For me, suspension of disbelief is essential for chills.

To everyone with insomnia, I am deeply sorry that you’re in this nightmare. Mort is fantastic & has been my sanity saviour right from the very start. Here’s some unsolicited advice from a stranger on KZread 😉: My sleep specialist doctor said that I’ll never find relief if I look at a smartphone or tablet within 2 hours of bedtime, and especially in bed. I’m not disciplined enough for that, *but* I found an effective workaround. I use the nighttime display on my iPad 2 hours before bedtime (this gets rid of the sleep-preventing “blue light”). Then I listen to “Uncle Morty” here with the screen nearly black & the volume low & zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”

I'm not well so gonna stick me headphones on and gonna chill to these stories. Thanx MM. Love to you your wife and baby. Xxx

This was playing while I was sleeping. I had the most terrifying nightmare. I just kept hearing that voice narrating the horrific stuff. subscribed immediately though. I like having nightmares.

Happy Halloween

I live in the exact city of the Glore Museum. It definitely gives off an unsettling feeling. Every October they do an overnight event. You get to "ghost hunt", have dinner and explore the underground areas that aren't open to the public.

Oh my gosh! I took a 'nap', and woke up 9 hours and 15 minutes later, totally missing Halloween, but worse, missing almost 4 hours of MM stories!?! I think I'd rather have my insomnia! Hi Morti, thanks for a great way to wake up, and Hi everyone, hope you all were sufficiently spooked last night! As much as I don't like missing the stories, I also miss reading all the great comments and some silliness from you lot! So I'm going to shut up and catch up now!❤️

Whenever I try to guess what someone looks like based solely by their voice their looks never seem to match what I think they would look like. With you, your looks actually match your voice. This is a good thing, of course. :) Its refreshing to have someone look almost like what I think they would.

Took me 2 sittings to finish, had to sleep in between, But I Made It! I like long ones like this because I listen to stories while doing other tasks, like sewing, drawing, playing games, cooking, cleaning, getting ready to go out, and of course on my nightly Late Night walks ALONE in the Dark... I NEVER Claimed to be "Normal", besides WTF Is Normal anyways?

The women's voices in the bush, the indigenous spirits, that is one I love the most. I remember having an experience like that as a kid in Pitjajinjara lands, South Australia, hearing the voice of an indigenous child, but I couldn't understand a single word. I was so scared, as I had never heard a spirit speak before, but I knew what it was and every time I closed my eyes, the spirit would speak, so I would open my eyes again. I didn't sleep well that night but now wish I could have that experience again and not have the natural reaction of being fearful.

I really enjoyed your 3 hours and 53 minutes of ghost and paranormal stories, but they didn't creep me out. I love listening to these at night when it is really dark. I have lived in a couple of haunted houses in my lifetime, and I still miss those spirits to this day. I was lucky enough to live in homes with 'friendly' spirits. One of them even kept 'bad' boyfriends away. lol

Visualizing the dark shadow in the doorway with its head at a 90 degree angle....ugh😬 Omg that doll story!

Really only paranormal scary stories actually give me chills and make me feel uncomfortable alone in my own room.

Love this. Cannot recommend highly enough if you’re in hospital (ie very noisy places at night just as during the day). I’m dropping off like a baby here right now! Although, it did make the time the old lady tried to get into my bed in the middle of the night just that bit more terrifying (scared half to death and screamed like I was actually in a horror - cheaply made one- film). 😂

I truly enjoy your stories. Especially your voice. Being across the Big Pond I don't often get to listen to British voices and yours is amazingly smooth and well modulated. One channel sounded so bored he put me to sleep. You know just how to make a story scary and sometimes sad. I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work. Also thank you for sharing. I know I dont comment much but I gotta say I love your narrations! These stories are crazy the one with the answering machine was nuts.

Last time I went to sleep listening to scary stories, I was pulled to the center of my bed. It does seem like I could have imagined- but I woke up, eyes open, right before something dragged me from the edge to the center. I was alert and ready to start my day, and find another place to sleep!

Was about to go to sleep till I herd have you ever had the feeling you were being watched and looked at the window 😂😂 Now I'm wide awake again.. Lol thanks

I've had a family member pass away before. i know what loss feels like. all i'm going to say is that he died when i was 8 and i still miss him.

Heck yes!!!!!!!!! I *love* ghost stories! There are no better stories, scary or otherwise, as far as I'm concerned. I have been watching (listening to) your videos for the past year or two - and subscribed not long after discovering you) but, for whatever reason, missed this video when it came out. You're the best. Thank you *so* much for all the work you put into this. It has made the past two days awesome. (Yes, it took me that long to get through them all! My house is like 116 years old, with some creaky wood floors...if I get caught, I have to start taking vitals and cooking brekkie...how bad do I want another...hmmm ☕️

Whenever I hear someone talk about the Great Depression it makes me wonder what was so "great" about it. It sounded epically horrific in my opinion. 😕

They mean "Great" in the context meaning: "large in size/scope or length of time".
