100 SUBSCRIBER SPECIAL - Gold Coast Waste w/ Dual Arm Truck 111B (incl. Comb Lifter in Action).
Well then.
Wow! 100 subscribers. No this is not a dream, and your eyes are not hallucinating, BrissyGarbo19 has just reached 100 subscribers on his channel!!! I generally, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, cannot be more thankful to each and every individual person who has appreciated my work enough to earn me a subscriber through my KZread career journey.
Just over a year ago now, on October 4, 2018, BrissyGarbo19 (BrissyQlder18 as it was called back then) was born. And now, just over a year later, with over 27 thousand all-time views on the channel, 182.1 watchtime hours and 7.3K views (more than normal) over the past two months, let me, present to you, a very special exclusive edition. A 100 sub special. Never before, right before my eyes, in my wildest dreams would I have ever of dreamed of filming what's being played to you on your screen right now... a dual-arm truck, that has the ability to empty 240L MGB's (mobile garbage bins) from both sides.
With being an extremely rare model made by JJ's Waste and Recycling in 2011 (formerly known as JJ Richards), only 2 of them (that I am aware of) exist currently working in operation in QLD side loader waste contracts. I have finally been able to do something, that no one other than my mate TweedGarbo (who filmed with me on the exact same day) has ever been able to film, edit and produce a video, of this great quality before. In this video, we take a look at both arms, the standard JJRE (JJR Engineering) grabber on the LHS (left-hand side) and the endangered truck arm claw model, the comb lifter (a.k.a. finger plate lifter), in action.
And for once, Americans watching this will be thinking, "yes! finally an Australian garbage truck is for once actually driving on the 'right' side of the road." 😉 Did you 'C' what I did there, but it wasn't a great one, yes I know. It such a rubbish pun, aye!😂 Anyhow, however Australian's and garbo truck drivers working here in our country will think this video is 'correct' way of operating, aka the American version of the dual arm truck: • The Custom Double-Arme... Hope everyone thoroughly enjoys this! I know certainly did filming and making this production.
Finally, Josh (SunshineCoastGarbo), get rekt haha :D you thought you were gonna be the first one to film this using the comb lifter. ( • Dual Arm 111B - 100 SU... ) This is the true meaning of a "dual" arm truck video, and a much deserved 100 sub special.

I've probably watched this video 50 times and every time I admire how polite and respectful the driver was especially answering questions about operating and stuff. Most would straight up say "no" but the explanation he gave you was perfect. Definitely keen to see more!
has it only got the left hand drive joystick? If so they should try and waxk one in fir the right side to make it more effective

Awesome stuff mate, I’ve never seen the dual arm truck in action I take it it’s used for one way streets? Also I presume cleanaway used to have the contract for the Gold Coast judging by that bin lid?

Unfortunately, I think you’re right, pretty sure I have seen evidence (i.e. “ancient” photos of Cleanaway trucks operating in GC around the 2000’s). Stuff Cleanaway and formerly owned by TPI, I’m not gonna even get started with the many things that went wrong with them in the past, present, and emerging (STILL) all over again.

BrissyGarbo19 I use to film the collection trucks. you should film the northern suburb areas
Bit inefficient these trucks, having to get out to manually service the bins defeats the point of it being an automated side loader. They should be designed to be able to operate both lifters internally. One way streets like this should be serviced with a rear loader. Good to see it in action tho...
