In December of 2020, I spent 72 incredible hours exploring Rio de Janeiro with my friends Guilhere and Rafa from Rio4Fun and Rio4Food.
Rio de Janeiro was the final destination on our epic, seven-city road trip through southern Brazil. As a city I’d heard a lot about over the years, I couldn’t wait to finally experience it for myself.

Rio de Janeiro is a city of wild contrasts. On one end, you have a city that’s often thought of as a tropical paradise and party city. On the other, you also have a city that often garners a lot of attention for its crime and violence.
In this documentary, we take you all over the city, from the luxurious, touristy areas to the grittier, sketchier areas that most tourists are told to avoid. We explore the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Copacabana Beach, as well as the impoverished Rocinha favela.
We also eat the very best of Rio’s food, from authentic Brazilian barbecue at local steakhouses to fresh feijoada and acai to delicious seafood. We’re taking you deep into one of the most famous-and most misunderstood-cities in the world.

I had to let out a sigh of relief because to me it was very emotional. You see I am Catholic (sad to say not a practicing one because I don't believe in religion) but I believe in spirituality.
