Actually turtles travel all the way back to the Beach that they were born on to lay their eggs, so Shelby's behavior makes sense. It's actually pretty cool!

I find the way of your thinking very entertaining. You was building a raid farm and not any random one, but a stacking raid farm (60k emeralds per hour). And what was your goal with it? Get enough gear to beat the ender dragon, which would've been fairly achievable with the time you spent on building it ( and not finishing lol ). Then you built a gold farm, a reasonable person would think you did it maybe for golden apples or to get pearls from piglins, but it was singlehandedly only to get fire resistance that you used in the fortress to get blaze rods and nether wart, which you used for slow falling ( and could also spend on fire res XD). And then, when you had a perfect scheme of either getting pearls from villagers or piglins thanks to gold farm, you grinded looting 3 sword and went slaying endermans. Also huge respect for being honest and not giving up on your own challenge, no matter how out of hand it became. Would definitely stick to your channel in the future, keep it up!

Wow! I'm glad you noticed that! You're right, I could have completely skipped the gold farm because I already had a fire resistance potion. Even just the 1 lasts for 3 minutes, which is more than enough time to get 6-7 blaze rods. I opted to build the farm anyway because I'll need it in future episodes. The other choices I made (building a raid farm, fighting endermen rather than bartering for pearls, etc.) were all similarly story related. Fighting endermen is more entertaining and dangerous than simply trading for them, so I chose the less efficient route. This series is a sort of critique of the Hardcore Genre on youtube. I'm trying to call into question the format and hopefully evolve it. It takes too long to explain every decision in the video, so I tried to simply tie it to the story through the "roleplay" element of the video. Essentially, I'm trying to tell a better story than just listing off all the things I did in the order I did them with the maximum efficiency possible. Being perfect isn't interesting, and stories without challenges are boring. Most Hardcore KZreadrs are just in a race to have the biggest bases or the most efficient farms, and I feel that it's lost the human element that made minecraft fun to play as a kid. @@JoeBountyHunter yeah, if we consider future episodes, then a gold farm and raid farm would definitely come in handy, I looked at it more of the 100 days challenge perspective. Absolutely respect you choosing fun over efficiency, but would be honest, I definitely not expected you to build a stacking raid farm out of all things XD I played hardcore for about 3 years and I come up with a ton of challenges to make it more entertaining for myself, like one of those were the locked progression. I could use wood tools only after I craft them from the nether wood and stone from the blackstone in the nether, iron tools would be accessible only after building iron farm, diamond gear after dragon and netherite after wither, never went to netherite, because I cheesed the wither and it became boring after some time, but it definitely was so fun in the moment. I started playing hardcore from no natural regeneration, which also was personally the best choice, since it made the experience so much thrilling. I remember in one of my worlds just getting a thought about UHC being too easy, deleted the world and started with 3 hearts ( my current playstyle ), I love Minecraft for that XD Good to see someone enjoying the game the same way, but I hope you won't become bankrupt after this series XD
