Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR is a concept car by Mercedes-Benz inspired by the 2009 movie Avatar by James Cameron.
About
The acronym AVTR stands for advance vision transportation, but it is also a reference to the 2009 film Avatar. [4]
The entire rear end of the AVTR is covered in 33 discrete scales, so called "bionic flaps" used to communicate with people outside the car. It also has special spherical wheels that were inspired by the "seeds of the Tree of Souls" from 2009’s Avatar. These wheels can rotate so that the AVTR can move sideways, or even diagonally. [2]
The car does not have a steering wheel. Since this futuristic car is autonomous, there is no need for one. Instead, passengers interact with the car through an oval-shaped controller that accordions up and out of the center console to meet a driver's hand. Once a hand is on the controller, it and the seats can vibrate along with the pace of driver's breathing and heart rate. Once passengers start moving in the AVTR car, the sweeping display in front of them can light up with 3D graphics of Pandora, the fictional world from the 2009 film Avatar. Back-seat riders have access to learning-oriented gaming and a "child-friendly augmented reality experience." [2]
The concept car is "powered" by graphene-based organic battery cells that do not require rare earth minerals, which may one day be compostable, and the interior is made from recycled plastics and vegan leather. [2]
Mercedes-Benz unveiled car in January 2020 at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show. [3] Avatar director James Cameron collaborated with Mercedes to create the car, and took the stage alongside it. "I see a future where we continue to co-evolve with our technology... we will merge, we will absorb it and it will become such a natural part of our lives," said Cameron. [4]

That type of future vision is almost genius level. To be able to see the car in you head and to cut individual pieces of wood that will eventually go together to make the exact car is so mathematical that it's art.

That man is the father of the eternity. He does so much for his son. Brilliant!
This is a real work of art. The author has golden hands. As a person engaged in the direction of "DIY", I can say that not everyone will be able to master such a project. The time and financial costs are simply enormous. And as for the skills, the author is just a genius. Thank you for your work, it's a pity that you didn't show the details of connecting the electric drive to the wheels.

All I can think about it how everything is made out of exotic hardwood. A sheet of crappy composite wood chip board at my local hardware store is at minimum, $30. A wall stud for framing, $6. The wood this guy used would cost as much as the real car, if he bought it where I live.
Damn what a hell of a dad/father this guy is I'm happy & extremely jealous of this kid at the same time I wish I had a father growing up

nah, it's a full team behind this, they're lying to the audience just as most building channels, you can see expose videos for the ones building pools in tropical areas on yt you can look how they push every month couple of videos, if it would take 100 days he'd have 3 videos per year, but hey, not everyone is good at basic math, or logic, or have a brain at all

@@MrAequitas Это называется "монтаж". Там склейка из нескольких роликов. Как он будет поварачивать если руля и рулевой тяги нет в принципе?! У него передние колеса тупо не поварачивают. В начале ролика посмотрите раму - там это прекрасно видно.

You are sick. Much respect from an architect, learned carpenter and wanted to become a car designer in my dreams from germany. Really impressing how you do it, makes we want to do such stuff by myself..if i had the tools!! so you got everything you need, that's awesome. would love to have those opportunities. Just your concept, so cool. Doing it in a whole with wood is great. working out the shapes with the chainsaw first and then finalizing with other tools..i bet it was a shitload of fun. WOW, by FAR the most entertaining video i have seen on KZread for quite a long time. It's great to see REAL craftsmen at work with such incredible skills, and that wood looks absolutely lovely, the deep colour is amazing. You have a VERY lucky son.
