@Keagen Jones Dharmawan The reason it hit his toe was the way casillas dived. any other keeper would never have saved that, the way casillas used his body to be able to cover the side of the goal that was blindsided as he was diving is beyond exceptional. this is the most important and best save ever

Lovely compilation. I can understand only a few Neuer clips, he gets to the spot before the ball does sometimes and makes his saves look easier than they really are. Huge miss not adding the Gregory Coupet save vs Barcelona or THE David Seaman save for Arsenal though. You must be a young cat. They were a long time ago but definitely top 20 in my book.

It really incredible if you stop to think about it. First you have to have almost superhuman reactions and then you still have learn to dicipline and focus your God given abilitys into those amazing saves. Now all you have to do is do it in a split second with thousands if not millions of eyes watching and judging you in the heat of the moment. Wow

The best thing about these videos is the reaction of the shooters.

Goalkeepers deserve so much more love. Like seriously, just because all they do is stand about at one end of the field and don't grab as much attention as often as the outfield players doesn't mean they aren't important to the game or that they aren't good. The gravity of their position needs to be appreciated. Defenders may get away with mistakes, strikers and midfielders too, but if a goalkeeper makes just one mistake he is the villain who conceded a goal.

Van Der Saar really was the whole package as a keeper. Great reflexes, but so much of what he did wouldn't be put into most highlight videos. His imposing figure lurking at least a head taller than the opposition players up for a corner, who are wondering how they have any chance getting their head on the ball 😅 good stuff.
