    Great vid ! Some years ago I had crazy electrical pains shooting through my body to my brain sending me to my knees. Also persistent arithmia, heart kept skipping beats . I thought I was dying, did every test imaginable with no conclusion. I went for a second opinion to a basic gp who looked me in the eyes and said , "your just stressed ! . I replied " Are you kidding me ? You mean to say stress can cause these crazy lightning bolt pains and interrupt my heart rhythm ???. "YES !!! " he replied . I left feeling confused and intrigued at the same time. The next day I realized that when I focused on work or any task and not on my body I had no symptoms. The second I would look for, worry about, even think about my symptoms , they would return. This was a turning point for me. One day I came to the conclusion , ide had enough , I literally spoke to my symptoms and said these words. " You know what ? I Dont give a shit anymore, so do what you want, bring it on , your not around when I'm active or focused elsewhere which means your a fake . That was over 10 yes ago, I haven't felt the same symptoms since.

    Hi there, I read your comment and felt prompted to reply because last year I was plagued by those two very same chronic symptoms (heart palpitations and chronic nerve pain (electrical, stinging, burning, the whole range). I was able to successfully recover from both using a mind-body approach, so you can do the same. I am so glad to hear that you've gone nearly 2 weeks without them. You're on your way!

    I have a testimony of this exact thing. I've been having pain for months and have been trying everything under the sun..I finally got an MRI which showed 2 neck herniated discs, with one extruding onto my spine, causing numbness, tingling, etc. Well one doctor told me I need shots and surgery if that doesn't help. I left his office crying, depressed, hopeless, etc. The other doctor, who had seen me months before, told me that she saw improvement from when she last saw me and to continue what I was doing bc she was confident the discs were going back into place. She told me the shots and surgery have risks involved and said she would avoid them if she was me. I left her office feeling empowered, encouraged, hopeful, and could feel my mind shifted. After seeing her I went 2 whole days with NO pain!!! It has come back...but no where near as bad as it was before. I'm learning how to train my brain to respond better when the pain triggers, and your videos are very helpful. Thank you so much!

    I’d like an assessment !!! I certain I’ve emailed you but I don’t see a response sir ….I’m having a hard time lately , my pain is so terrible I was bedridden for 4 years , my pain literally wakes me up in the middle of the night in horrible pain ….. or if I’m active in any way I go into horrible hypersensitive pain for DAYS if not WEEKS. Either this just won’t work for me or I need extensive work with a psychotherapist, I had a 360 lumbar fusion 3 levels up , what is extremely odd is my neck / back of skull started killing me too ! What about people with like cfs leaks ? Is that considered tms or structural? This stuff gets tricky, 15 years of debilitating chronic pain 😞 like Sarno said , people in wheelchairs with no legs live a normal life in most cases , I’m incapacitated; it’s soooooo disturbing

    Thanks Jim. Your videos are great but I do have an important question, please: You refer to inhibitory and excitory pathways but I would like to understand why these couldn't equally well apply to "normal" physical pain (as opposed to Mind Body pain). It would really help me to know the answer. I'm 95% sure I have TMS but, since my bladder pain all started with a bad infection (32 years ago) and I was told for years that I have an "embedded infection", you'll appreciate why there is still a small element of doubt in my mind. I really hope you'll see this comment and have time to respond. Many thanks

    You may have a structural or other “physical problem” but that doesn’t mean it is causing your pain or discomfort or whatever sensations you are having. Other people who have the same structural problem as you, may not be having pain at all. This mind-body approach still applies and will still work for you. If you have chronic pain then this is the solution.

  • @pattyboucetta1897

    @pattyboucetta1897

    That term “embedded infection” sounds crazy. I doubt that doctor had any proof of that. The body clears all infections when the mind gets out of the way. The lingering symptoms are most likely a conditioned response. Keep using the work and show the brain it’s not necessary anymore.

    It makes no difference. In both scenarios you at some point believed your pain was a real injury. Once you can let go of that and accept that your injury has long healed and there’s nothing wrong with you, that’s all you should be focusing on

    And how to explain the many succesful surgeries and PT rehab for this condition? If surgeries, rehab dont work, it's suddenly TMS? i had neck and lower back disc bulges 2018. Did pT and continued home exercises i learned from pt sessions. I became depressed and feared my conditions. Lost too much weight and was so skinny and weak. I finally decided to stop being depressed and started to walk, push ups, then biking, until finally was able to play some basketball. I was not pain free but i was living a normal life. Now, pain is back. Had mri. Doc said no need for surgery. But iam having this fear again because im now in my 50's. Not really sure if this is really tms because as i said, both PT and this mind body approach helped me cope with my condition. Not sure now if i need to go back to PT or this is just TMS

    I dont know if you believe in spirituality, but i experience spontaneous movements while meditating, like im not consciously trying to do anything at all which made me believe that we really do have a soul and are eternal. Your pain is your souls way of communicating with you that you need to change something, you need to sit quietly and talk to your pain like its a person or an entity in someway separate fron you and ask it what it needs
