Thank you for going the extra mile to help so many students and teachers. I began watching your videos during my first year of college when I enrolled in a remedial math class. My whole life, I stated math was my worst subject. I lived with the notion that it was okay to be bad at math. I realized if I didn't get better at math, I would be unable to complete my degree in biotechnology. However, I found your channel and got an A in every math class I took at the college level (college algebra, pre-calc/trig, calc1, calc2, statistics, etc.). I am beyond grateful for your willingness to help those you do not know. By the way, I started my Ph.D. in molecular biology two years ago and still enjoy math, thanks to you!

Fist I apologize for the delayed reply. Thank you @Shane Stoeber for taking the time to "thank the teacher" and send such a heartfelt comment...my wife was in tears when she read it to me! Comments like this are a constant reminder what I LOVE teaching and how you never know who and how you are going to impact someones life. You probably have that Ph.D by now...Keep us posted and let us know what you end up doing that makes you excited to get up and go to work everyday...BAM!!!
This guy is the man. Helped me all through college when my own professors couldn't. True Legend. Congrats on 10 years and here's to 10 more!

I cannot believe 10 years have gone by so fast... or that the hard drive holding the first 4 years still worked🤣🤔 I really need to make a backup. Congrats on going to KZread full time and your growing family!
I was your student when you started this channel! I'm so happy to see how much your channel has grown and how many people you've helped since 2011 😭😭😭 Thanks for all that you do.
I remember when I was thinking about changing my major to physics, I was scared of the math. I wasn't sure if I would be good enough at it and should just stick with International Relations. I liked math, but had only ever gone up to algebra 2, when I was around 16 years old. I was then in my early 30s. While I was studying abroad in China, I had found your channel and sat down and started with your trigonometry playlist and and a little notebook. Within 2 weeks, I had gotten through every video. I broke out another little notebook for calculus and went through that in maybe a month or two. Then, I started your calculus 2 playlist, which was a lot longer and was still working on it when I came back to the United States. I'd sit down with a cup of coffee, take the notes, pause the video and try to work the examples first, and then unpause to see if I got it right, fix any mistakes... I had to take the prerequisite pre-calc, calculus 1/2 classes and got great grades and I was getting all A's. The professors would notice that I got nearly perfect scores on the pre-tests at the beginning of each course. They asked me if I had taken calculus before and I said that I had learned it from youtube LOL! That got some strange looks and a confused nod from them... LOL! Fast forward to now, and I wound up double-majoring in mathematics and physics and graduated in 2020 with a great GPA. My thesis was a mathematical and 3d model of a binary star system. Now, I'm working on my master degree in Biostatistics and still doing well! ^~^ I used to be scared of math, but you changed all that so many years ago and gave me the courage to chase after the degrees that I really wanted. Thank you so much, Mr. Tarrou!

My apologies for my slow reply. I read your comment and was touched. I later read your comment to my wife and could not finish without crying. Stories like yours are why I still loving teaching after 25 years and still make videos when I have time after 10 years on KZread. I could not more proud and happier for your new degree and direction in life. You had the courage and determination to put in the work to acheive your goals. I am so very happy my videos helped you begin your mathematical journey. Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for reaching out to me. You help to keep me motivated to do more!!!
Congratulations! Helped me during high school and college. Thank you so much!

It seems like just yesterday I was watching your videos on the 'new' chalk board. I loved your videos through the years. I now have a degree in physics and I am now going for a mechanical engineering degree at 50 yrs old. A portion of my sucess is due to your videos. I even call you out to my friends online that are having math trouble. So a huge thank you to you and your patient family for the 10 years of BAM!! Looking forward to many more years.
Thank you so much!!!!
Love u sir from 🇮🇳 INDIA.
Congratulations!! I’m a math teacher and I have used your videos to help my students and brush up on my own skills. I’ve not seen any other videos that I enjoy more. Best wishes and keep it going!
I was at a 6th grade math understanding at grade 9 (I have Autism). You helped me get through 6 years of math lessons in 3 years. In 11th grade, I graduated all 6 courses, because of you it only took me 3 years. Thank you. It's been almost 8 years since I graduated, and because you made such an impact, I remembered your channel after all these years, and had to tell you you are amazing. Thank you so much for your help and hard work. ❤
This man needs more subscribers. He helps so many people.
When I was struggling in my pre-calc in college, I found your videos, and was able to completely turn myself around. Aside from your good explanation of concepts, my favorite part of all your videos was that you genuinely enjoyed what you were doing, and that made learning from you even more enjoyable. Keep up the great work, Mr. Tarrou!
Please never retire from teaching use math.
You''re a bloody legend. Watching some of your videos, I gained different methods and perspectives on topics after returning to Univerisity study at 38. Not having done maths for 20 years lecturers would often say "you should remember this from highschool" or the like and being out of practice for so long, I turned to youtube and google searches. You helped me through a few concepts I had not yet totally grasped. I enjoy your teaching style and your working out and explanations are quite thorough. Thanks Mr Tarrou!

Thank you for your passion for teaching. I have been very fortunate to have had many passionate teachers through the years, and when I found your channel, I saw their same level of passion in you. Keep doing what you do. I know that many of the students you have now will be thinking of you and be impacted by you for decades to come.
I started watching your videos when I was a freshman in high school. Now I am a sophomore in college taking calculus 3 and discrete mathematics! I wouldn't have been able to get this far without your tremendous help and expertise. You've changed the lives of many people, including mine. Good luck with the channel, and as always, I'll be a dedicated viewer!
Hey, Sir! Happy 10 years! Whenever I need to clear something during my college days, I had a fair share if not a lot of your videos that I go to. I already finished my degree in Engineering and now practicing it. Thank you very much! I wish you all the best!
Thank you. I couldn't have made it through without this channel as I was taking calculus classes online while working full time during college.

Mr. Tarrou Congratulations on ten years. I was a follower of your channel for years still a subscriber today. You Sir are a fantastic teacher and I am so grateful for your videos. I was a 25 year old student going to a JC trying to figure out how to get myself into a Civil Engineering school. Because of your passion of teaching and how well you do it I am now a 2019 graduate from Cal Poly Pomona and am currently working as a design engineer. Keep it going. I know you will inspire many more like me. Thank you to your wife for allowing you to come home after working all day to make these amazing videos.
This man is the reason why I passed all of my college courses. NOT because of my professors. But because of HIM alone. Let that say something.
Hello Prof, I want to say thanks a lot for the support you have had on my mathematics career from 7 years ago when I started watching your video, it has inspired me to do my degree in Physics and Mathematics from UofT, now I’m doing MS in Finance from Boston U, but I still enjoy watching your videos and I always recommend it to many students I know. 🙏👍

Wow! 10 years of carrying all our math grades already! Just kidding... But seriously, you, my friend, are a KZread legend. Your free educational content will be viewed by millions more to come. Thank you for your work.
Literally the best math teacher on the planet… No other teacher can teach math like this. He just has a gift. I literally cried when I moved past his material in college. I wish he covered more advanced maths!
Congratulations Mr. Tarrou! Thank you for helping students like me and from all around the world overcome their fears and struggles in math. We wish you and your channel the very best!
Hey man, its been a while since I have been around. I remember I found your videos a long time ago in college while I was studying Computer Science. I got a lot of help from your videos, and I eventually graduated and started working in the industry. I know that for an educational channel views probably fluctuate a lot because people watch when they need help. So the health of the channel heavily depends on getting new people in. But I just want to say, I still really appreciate everything you have done. Regardless of the views, I speak from personal experience when I say what you do is important and invaluable. I wish you all the success in the world and congratulations on the anniversary!
Thank you sir ❤️
Thank you Mr Tarrou! Your videos helped me so much when I was reviewing for college entrance exams. I binge-watched all videos from your Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precal playlists. Bless you Sir!

BAM! Congratz Mr. Tarou Thank you for 10 years(5 of which helped me throughout my student life.)
Thank you for humbly sharing with us the fact that you, a math teacher, had to “re-learn” calculus after so many years of being away from it. I find that so inspiring because I am now relearning (as a hobby) all of the pre-calc and trig that I learned while homeschooling my son and while tutoring him during his first year of college math 6 years ago. I’ve been back at it for over a month now and am just enjoying the heck out of it (. . . And I was a psych major who hated math in high school). After I relearn all of that, I’m hoping to learn calculus for the first time (now that I finally have a math brain, at 57). Thank you for making all of these videos the past 10 years and for bringing a clarity and enthusiasm to what can be a painful subject for many!

I have watched and used your videos for years to help my own kids succeed in math. Thank you for your commitment, my kids have benefitted greatly!
I think I started watching your videos sometime around 2013 when I was struggling to teach myself pre-calculus in my online homeschool. You have gotten me through high school math courses, college placement exams, college math courses, and now I'm finishing a 6 year undergraduate career with with my last big "mathy" class- physics- and will be using your videos for a much-needed review. I have never been a math person, but your enthusiasm for the material actually made me enjoy working out some of the problems. I actually like trigonometry because of you! The way you explain things, and show how everything is connected, has been invaluable to me. Every opportunity I get, I recommend people check out your channel. I 100% credit you with giving me the knowledge and tools necessary to be able to solve tough math problems, and I will be forever grateful. Thank you, Mr. Tarrou!
Hello you wonderful person! Congrats on ten years. I found your videos years ago when I was taking statistics as a prerequisite (shockingly, pulled an A out of the universe partially with your help). Can't thank you enough, and I am watching your videos again now to assist me with some refreshment on calculus related matters. I hope you know that you are valued, and thank you again. This is what the internet should be about - the sharing of knowledge, of cultures, of experiences... Grateful for you (and your wife sounds bad-a**, btw). Thank you so much again. To a lifelong teacher, from a (hopefully), lifelong learner.

Thank you for your videos. Your enthusiasm and passion for teaching helped me overcome my fears of jumping back into such a daunting and feared discipline. Your great teaching helped me to understand math in a huge way early on at the beginning of my schooling many years ago. Which also allowed me to gain my confidence in mathematics. I decided to continue a pursuit in mathematics for my graduate degree, where I am currently in my final classroom class of my graduate degree at Johns Hopkins University in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
