Out of those the Poni stood out, it's so sweet sounding. I've had a KTM-00MG and sold it and I must say it is the one uke I always think about "should I have sold it?" I always go back to it and have slight regret, it's been one of the best sounding all mango uke I always compare other ukes with.

The KoAloha is in a league of its own, magnificent!

The Rebel Double Cheese has a terrific sound.

I had this video on in the background... And the only time my wife commented "what are you watching?" was when Alex said "oh so big so smooth" after playing the big island uke 😂

Think I have a yearning for a Cedar top, UT was as expected, loved the KoAloha Mangoso balanced. But still think the Poni is in looks and sound my fave. Have a great week and thanks for the informed run through.

I have that Kala trembesi. Its amazing. Absolutely love it!

Nice ukuleles and playing. Other than the hits like the Bird/Ks, I really liked the sound of Poni and the L.Luthier. The modern shape of off-center L.Luthier is quite nice, for me I just don't like that you can see the electronics inside instead of the wood. Hope you get a chance for soprano/concert rendition as well!

Love the look of the Ohana top. That wood is beautiful!

I just got the Ohana TK-50g. I got a prototype from Mims Ukes here in the States. It is a satin finish. It is the only satin finish model I have seen. String recommendation?? It is super bright and loud.

Hey there.. i am very enthusiastic about your Videos.. I beginn to realy love the uke's in the last years. I own as first a leho Mango LHUC ..then upgrade to a moonbird. Now i am looking for a big island K5A CTU. It is an Artist model. Do you know this Ukulele and have any experience with it? Greetings

We have stocked most Big Island ukes in the past but have recently decided not to do them anymore as the price has risen a lot in the last 2 years. Big Islands were great when priced at half that of a Hawaiian uke but now they are the same price.

How would you compare the sound and playability of the Poni and the Double Cheese? I’m looking for an instrument that can sound equally good playing modern finger style and renaissance dances. It’s kind of mango vs mahogany. What do you think?

I prefer the Uli/Poni if you want the most dynamic... it can sound traditional or contemporary. The Rebel is a more modern instrument at its core.

Hiya, My 7 year old has learnt very happily on a Makala Waterman and I would say the inexpensive Kala or Flight starter ukes are all pretty good as long as you get them from a shop that will set them up.
