I’m a huge WCW fan and stuck with them right til the end, one of things that had potential in 2001 was the new cruiserweights with AJ styles, Elix Skipper, Shane helms the Jung Dragons etc along with Kidman & Rey Jr, the new division could’ve been great with the introduction of the short lived cruiser tag belts also, nobody did the cruiser/light heavyweights better than WCW ✌️

"Cruiserweight Tag Division. That was actually a thing." Yes, it was a thing. A GOOD thing. WCW had over 20 cruiserweights on the roster. Most people remember these. AJ Styles may surprise some since he only had 4 matches. Bruno Sammartino and Owen Hart may also be surprising to some. I thought this list may have been more rare ones like Kid Kash (Cash), RVD (Robbie V), Raven's first run (Scotty Flamingo), EZ Money (Jason B/Jett), Jerry Lynn (Mr. JL) and Paul London.

@@chrisrd86 Austin learned how to wrestle in WCW and is a former multiple time WCW US champ. The US title was the first major championship Austin ever held, which is probably why the WWE have kept the title around to this day (it's the only former WCW championship still active in 2023). Austin just hadn't developed his own skills as a character by that point, which is something he later did while in ECW long before he got to the WWF. Jericho's best work was while he was in WCW and it's where he developed his character. Same with Eddie and unfortunately the wife beating murderer. WCW used them all perfectly well. None of these wrestlers were developed by WWE.

VK Wallstreet was a revival of Mike Rotunda's "Michael Wallstreet" character from 1990. Michael Wallstreet was mainly famous for (1) putting Mike in a shirt and tie BEFORE Irwin (2) introducing the world to Alexandra York (Terri "Marlena" Boatright-Runnells) laptop-tapping future mistress of the York Foundation whose bodyguard Mr Hughes went onto be enforcer for World champion Lex Luger and his manger Harley Race.

Davey Boy Smith in WCW 1993 was a big deal here in the UK - it got people tuning in to Saturday afternoon on ITV once more and alerted the tabloids to WCW's existence. Sting and Davey vs Vader & Sid was THE big pushed WCW feud of 1993.

For the comparison of Bruno going to WCW you should of said it would of been like Shawn Michaels going to WCW . He never sold out like Higan, Flair or Brett. Even Sting eventually took that WWE money, Aside from getting fired the first time with The Rockers , he stayed true to the Fed. Him and The Deadman.
