Me too. I used to use a somewhat pricey chap stick that I thought was a really hydrating (not waxy and drying like the chap stick brand ones), but I recently changed to Vaseline and it is way better and way cheaper . I keep a travel size tub in my bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and car. My lips have never been this happy before :)

@@Abcdefghijajajaja True,, but it is occlusive. So, it prevents trans epidermal water loss. And, other lip products sometimes contain ingredients that can be irritating to some people and thus actually cause drying and peeling. Very few (if any) people have a reaction like that to petroleum.

Ok, first, you're making every Grandma proud! I LOVE Vaseline! It's great for first aid cuts and burns and I've always had extremely dry chaped hands especially in winter, as a kid and even now my go to for a quick fix is Vaseline with socks for sleeping!

My friend"s Mother was the most beautiful woman ever, she looked like Elizabeth Taylor! She used Vaseline to remove makeup, she always drew black cat eyes and she used it as a night time moisturizer. Ms. Gloria's skin was like a baby's bottom. She had no wrinkles at 60 yrs old
On my skincare routine journey and I've been loving your videos! Thank you for what you do!!
Petroleum jelly is on the WHOs list of essential medicines for a reason! Very good for all sorts of things, from covering certain types of wounds while they heal and just for protecting your skin barrier in general, while being affordable and reasonably easy to get a hold of globally.
vaseline is saving my skin on tretinoin. i loveeeee it.
Before going on a flight: at home, hotel, or wherever you do it(NOT on the plane) do your whole skincare routine and try to put on a lot of hydration, then top it off with Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Should make it harder for the plane to dry you out!
Yes, all the crazy comments about click bait, sponsored, don’t use on face or while pregnant are crazy. Vaseline works for hundreds on uses and safe. It also works great to extend the use of perfume. Dap a dot on pulse points and then spray perfume. It works!
I have combo-oily skin and I love to do slugging one a week, since I'm a big skincare lover and my skin can handle a good amount of stuff on it, I used to overdo it a bit with actives so when slugging became a thing, I made a rule for myself that whatever I do, my Sunday evening routine will be just cleansing, a bit of hydration and slugging! So now whatever I do at least there's that one day a week when my skin can just be nourished and nurtured, and now my skin is softer than ever

I used to put it on my eyelashes a yr before I started wearing mascara and it does hold the curl but alone it just looks slightly off so I just stick to mascara or just brush it up with an eyebrow fluff brush.
Just came from Target and got the new enzyme cleanser and the new peptide moisturizer. Can’t wait to use them!!!!

Vaseline actually saved my puffy and dry eyes in the morning! I always sleep with my head kinda right down on the pillow (bad habit after spine surgery), which makes my eyes so irritated. I put some vaseline around my eyes before bed, make sure to fall asleep on my back so the vaseline won't come off immediately, and in the morning I notice huge difference! Love ittttt

Great ideas thanks!
Literally my lip balm! It works way better than any lip balm that I’ve tried. I’m definitely gonna try salicylic acid before Vaseline as Kerasal is expensive for me, hehe.
I use my Aquaphore when i self-tan, I put it on in areas dont want to get dark like my toenails, ankles and elbows. Other that i have my Aquaphore in every bag , every drawer , by the bed , desk and television , its everywhere. I love the stuff

I have never used it (or thought to use it) for blisters with new shoes. Thats a game changer for me. Thank you!!! Lol
I use it too its really pretty good for.the skin 😊
I use it daily in my shop, to lubricate machinery, to protect my metal hand tools, as as a wood preservative, on natural unfinished wood….just sand to a fine (400grit) finish and wipe some petroleum jelly into the wood. It gives a beautiful natural finish, and protects from water, and oil spills.
I used to be afraid of Petroleum Jelly because I kept reading that mineral oil will cause facial hair on women (especially those with PCOS). However, when I started using tretinoin, it became part of my skincare routine. I would apply my tree cream, then a thick moisturizer around my mouth and under eyes, then I would seal the area around my mouth with vaseline because that is the most part that dries out. I must say though that when I get my hands on Egyptian Magic I might stop using vaseline
I use it on my lips and also a little under my eyes at night, also great as a scar healer and under nose if sore from having a cold.
I’ve used Vaseline as a lip balm since I was a kid. I put it on every night before bed for my lips and if I knick myself shaving. Also if I’m having any acne I will put some on as a protectant before skin care, and I just started using it under my eyes. Works great for me! Never done a full on Slug before. Might try it ☺️

Do you have any thoughts on Vaseline’s Shimmer Stick? What are some of your favorite body shimmer products for those summer days when you want to give your body an extra glow?
I’ve used a lot of cleansing balms and oils and they are more “elegant” but for the price of those compared to petrolatum or other petrolatum based ointments like that you can’t beat it for the price. I use the cerave healing ointment sometimes or albolene and even the new cetaphil healing ointment with shea butter and my skin just feels so smooth and soft after unlike with most cleansing balms or oils.

I wish that people didn’t always associate the word “by-product” as a terrible terrible thing! It is not always a bad thing when it comes your pet foods labels as well!
Vaseline is the best eye makeup especially waterproof mascara in the world and you don't need anything else just because it looks good, I have been using this 40yrs and I will debate any beauty guru or dermatologist and those on beauty counter 's to try and persuade you to buy a very expensive waterproof mascara remover, I can vouch that you don't need anything else only this and I think after using it 40yrs with no problems I wouldn't recommend anything else unless you like spending money and vaseline lasts a long time when you have a big tub, I have never been without it and never had a reaction and great as a lip balm.
Vaseline and sunscreen are used together
Can i use vaseline instead of oils occasionally when i do face massages with my gua sha? Oils real bother my face i know i can wipe it later after im done but i wanna look into more options where i dont wipe it off since vaseline is the last step i use in my routine
I'm 66 yrs old and always use Vaseline
I'm a bit confused. So do we apply vaseline on our skin then put on actives (i.e: retinol) to the same exact spot we put on our vaseline? Will the actives able to go through the vaseline to our skin tho? I'm planning to start putting on retinol into my skincare routine since i'm already in my early 20s so this came up at the right time! 🤩
What’s the difference between Vaseline and Aquafor?
Idk if im doing it right but I slug after using my chemical exfoliation and I put all my serums and moisturizers then slather in the vaseline.

If you look for more earth friendly “baby balms,” then you could use them for the same uses as this video. They might be too comedogenic for slugging though, so if you’re acne-prone, probably not. Pipette has a waxy baby balm primarily made from squalane. The brand Era Organics has a baby ointment/balm that has beeswax and plant oils, and Dr. Bronner’s has Magic Balm.

For some people yes, some people no. Just depends on your genes, so just keep an eye (no-pun) on how your skin is handling it. I’ve used over a light moisturizer under my eyes (just because my eyes get dryer thank the rest of my face) every night for years, and it saved me from getting premature dehydration wrinkles. But I also know people who get milia from like one or two times using Vaseline under their eyes, so, everyone’s different.
