i agree that it's kind of weird, but his reply saying it doesn't really matter is also kind of terrible. So if you meet a blind person, and they ask you to describe something, you're just going to say it doesn't matter because you can't see it anyway, or you won't get it anyway?

@@jennypai3763 ehhhh, to me, describing something versus describing a color are two different things. You can use colors, shapes, and textures to describe something, but describing a color without saying its that color is kind of hard. Because of that, I feel that response was valid. Had she asked, how would you describe grass to a blind person? He could've used green and other shapes and textures to describe it, but green itself has no shapes or textures you can use as a reference so you can't really describe it except for depth of color. Green can be really dark or really light. Its the color of grass or leaves. But what does green look like? Nah, you can't physically describe it without seeing it. Maybe I'm wrong and just wouldn't know how to describe it, but that's my take on it.

@@jojo-xk8ri she was, but like if you meet someone for the first time you don't go up to them saying "how would you describe the color green to a blind person?" that is a question that easily can become an argument. it isn't a nice was to introduce yourself, say ; "hi im --- how are you" or something. btw he was doing the looks and personality so he can do it as he likes. for someone it might take more than 5 minutes and you wouldn't really get to know someone better that way. especially if they don't answer you

Looks are probably more subjective than personality. There's likes and dislikes but if someone's a good fun person, that opinion was more often than not going to be shared. Looks wise, I would have said the girl on the end was more than a 5 but I like short hair.

Trying to separate looks from personality is like trying to separate wet from water, because looks directly affect and correlate to personality, and vice versa. Think in terms of fantasy, do you think Two Face or The Joker are as insane without their physical scars? They became those characters by getting shaped by the new dimensions of their reality, their appearances. In the real world it's the same. Most successful politicians are good looking, same with athletes, actors, musicians. Not all, but most, and I'm not just talking they're more popular. I mean they're literally better at what they do because of their looks. Their habits, their past investments in themselves and others, and just some plain old good luck. We can't separate looks from personalities, that's a waste of time. And the only people trying to do so I suspect are either the ones missing one, or the ones who have close ties to someone who is missing one, which is a noble intention, but a fruitless attempt nonetheless

This video makes me realize that looks and personality is a 50/50 thing for me. Neither of both is less important when it comes to attractiveness.

This is a great point that ofc barely anyone is engaging with but instead engaging with the comments defending him just having a preference and how there’s no issue there. People think “just having a preference” is fine and nothing to be upset about but it goes a lot deeper than that and sometimes you’ll really never get it without experiencing it. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that as truth unfortunately. You could know the nicest non POC for over a decade and still be unable to help them see eye to eye and understand certain things about racial issues. When you grow up around your own people and your own beliefs your entire life, often times it’s not always as easy to understand a reality other than your own as much as you might think you do because you’re an adult with lots of experiences and knowledge. That’s not always enough. Of course not every non POC shares this ignorance, but unfortunately many do. Girl this is hitting home lemme get tf off the KZread comments 🤣

I get what you mean, but you can't narrow it down to: they are black, they all look very different, there were only 2 woman that had a dark skin tone, and other than their skin tone they really don't fit the common beauty standards, plus everyone has their preferences I personally don't have much preferences over a skintone, but I can say for sure that I did not like how those 2 looked the guy was not very nice to them, but hes being put in a situation to rate them, what else is to be expected.

I didn't find either of those black girls attractive and I've seen plenty of gorgeous black girls. People have different preferences.

Damn these are very low ratings by looks for such gorgeous girls. Seems like the standards are high for women. Also, the guy saying that personality is more important but then prefers going out with the girl that he rated the highest by looks is basically the most accurate representation of the hypocrisy around dating.

The look is far more absolute than 3 breaf minutes of a conversation (without privacy yet kkk). Well for the most part all of the girls he rated at least decent for personality and for looks so the odds of having the wombo combo attractive looks and personality girl were pretty good.

Looks and personality are an exact 50/50 split for me. I need to be physically attracted to someone for the relationship to work. But at the same time, I also need to actually like that person.

If you are sincerely wanting a long-term relationship, personality and compatibility is far more important. My ex-wife had model quality looks but we rarely had sex in 10 years of marriage. The ratio of fights to sex was about 15-to-1. Trust me, looks mean nothing.

It’s because you visually see a person and have already established some sort of opinion based on their looks first, before you get to talk to them (in a social setting). Even in chats or online dating sites usually there’s a profile pic so you already have some sort of idea of how they look like before talking

5th one really liked him, but not sure if I would beleived her. Would have rated her high for her positivity, but higher because she managed to make that spark of nervousness and genuinity happen by her ealry declaration. :D My typical type would be someone blond, but this girl gets my 10/10 for her charms, and lips when she smiles.. wow.. o-o, the mood she brings makes me feel butterflies, but I can see her facial expression so I guess it does not count xD!

I mean, as a man liking the way a woman looks is very important. It's biologically ingrained. As you age and gain experience, you begin to realize how important personality is and I feel like the balance becomes 50/50 unless you just want a trophy wife. In our youth it's definitely in the favor of looks though. It's not like he rated the attractive girl low on personality. She got an 8.5 for looks and a 8 for personality.

It is sooooooooo fascinating how the girl on the far right maintained such high marks for her personality yet her looks were one of the lowest. If you notice the others, there personality marks were very close to their looks. The girl on the furthest right - you can sense her confidence while the remainder of the women appear to look bored, insecure, or just “there.” She has a presence to her as well. Conclusion: We behave in tandem of how we may perceive ourselves or even largely how society may perceive us. Very few people far exceed what they expect from themselves and how other define them. It should not be this way.

the thing is he’s rating based on his preference. a different person could find the person he rated the lowest the most attractive and the person he rated the highest the least attractive, bcs beauty is subjective. so I don’t really like ‘rating’ people either but I think if someone rates you you shouldn’t take it to heart bcs it’s usually just personal taste
