Ever since finding the comic during the early 90's and falling in love with it! I had always wanted a movie or show back then and now finding out there was going to be and now not knowing if anything will ever become of it. Makes me sad.

It should be stated that not only did Louie CK's behavior lead to the cancellation of THE ENTIRE block of TBS cartoons. Tarantula was burned off quickly over a summer replacement season and Close Enough famously sat on the shelf for at least 2 years, and when it DID come out, HBOMAX was all too eager to erase it for their standard corporate welfare "tax write offs." I guess Cops was too rooted in Louie that they couldn't pull a Secret Life of Pets 2 and just recast him with someone better. There's also the case of an FX cartoon called "Cassius and Clay" that seemed to be a buddy comedy that may have taken place in a Mad Max style world. It had the same animation team as Archer. But the show was mysteriously pulled without explanation before even an episode aired.

@@tb3411 I didn't want to bring that up, as it would lead to me having a multi-paragraph rant. If I want to see how it ends, I have to wait several years and fork over a couple hundred bucks for a legal loophole of a comic book. Cops is one of the worst cartoons of all time JUST for the fact it destroyed everything around it, ESPECIALLY Final Space and Close Enough. And before someone says "What about American Dad?" as it was produced by Fox, Disney foots the bill for it and all WB has to do is pay them for the episodes. Disney could move it to a Hulu exclusive if they wanted.

Gotham High was truly a loss of epic propotions. The internet lore of people thinking teenage Joker was epic in the most unironic sense will never be understated. Also justice for Jeff Smith and "Bone", dude rules and his story deserves better than to be treated the way it was.

Speaking of remaking the Flintstones, I wonder what happened to the version that Elizabeth Banks was going to make, it is still on? We have not heard any more news about it.

I realize there are a lot of reasons to hate Netflix, but dropping the Bone cartoon is high on the list.

It's so sad "Bone" seems cursed to never get a good adaptation. Though, I guess no animated adaptation is better than a bad one, as Nick and WB wanted to change it too much... Meanwhile, Netflix wanted a faithful adaptation, (for once) yet became too broke to do it.

You guys really didn’t need to explain a homage to The Peanuts. I’d argue that’s the most famous running gag.

That’s EXACTLY what I expected a network sitcom version of Clerks to be. A bad version of “Two guys a girl and a pizza place.”

Lol that's one aqua teens episode, it's a pretty short amount of time there's nearly ten of those an hour. So it right, grab a buddy and your buzz of choice, you can easily get thru twenty minutes of bad TV dude.

Back when it was it was first shown off I remember the comic book community had pretty strong backlash, in large part because of how badly the superhero Looney Tunes show had turned out. Personally I think it could have been a fun little project with tons of potential for good jokes.

3:23 Thorn is not a spin off, it's the "Beta" version of Bone that was a comic strip that he ran in his college's newspaper, which Jeff Smith would then remake and adapt for the comic run. However there IS a spin off called Rose, named after her grandmother.

What do I think of The Clerks sitcom pilot? It's absolute garbage from the moment a laugh track was included. I don't I've seen something so dead on arrival. We would get a much better Clerks sitcom in 2001 in the form of a cartoon but it got screwed over badly by the network and only lasted six episodes.

Seeing a young joker and Batman in high school would’ve been interesting and really cool .

I am a huge Felix the Cat fan so it would be pretty cool to see these cancelled shows get some more lime light.

Rambo, a animated 1980s era show was short lived. Sylvester Stallone was very annoyed over the toys, concepts. The studio wanted $ and were way off base. Stallone was 💯 correct.

What's wierd is 1990s; Chicago Hope 🏥 & ER started at the same time. Chicago Hope even lasted 3-4 seasons.

Still Life. Created by Marti Noxon, one of the main writers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it was a fox show which showed a rookie cop who is killed on his first day on the job. A year later he returns as a ghost to see how his family are getting on. Cast included Morena Baccarin and Jensen Ackles. Six episodes were made. Then fox pulled the plug. None were broadcast and are probably still in their vault. The Ortegas at no 42. Another fox one. They paid a lot to get the right to remake popular British show the Kumars at no 42. A spoof chat showed hosted by a British indian family. The Ortegas were going to be mexican americans. But they just never showed it. Day One. A mystery show a la lost Flashforward etc, had people in a city trying to survive after a mysterious alien force arrives and destroys everything around them. Originally announced as a series. Then it was going to a mini series. Then nothing happened. The network saying we kinda moved on from that. And one that was only at the proposed pilot stage before cancellation, due to covid shutdown it would seem. Baywatch San Diego. The Baywatch film of 2017 didn't do well enough at the box office to get a sequel. But in early 2020 Variety announced Baywatch San Diego. A new tv pilot. They were looking for an actor the lead character. Described as Male. Aged 30-35. With two daughters. But nothing more was ever heard of it. I would love to know how that might have turned out.

That Gotham High tv show would have been interesting because I like to see all the characters in Batman as high school kids.
