So this kid meets slipknot.. He's like 13. Starts playing at 14,learns Joey's songs by 16. Imagine that alone.. All Joey's songs within first two years of drumming. Then, 5 years later they ask him to join cause they were all friends. His dad is max weinberg. What a crazy life.

Joey Jordison is one of the best drummers ever, but you gotta admit, Jay has so much talent as a drummer and he is just as amazing, honestly happy with him as the drummer.

Joeys work with his new band Sinseanum is flat out brutal.Joeys goal and passion has always been to play death metal and hes lightin it on fire now..by far onna the best death metal drummers out there right now this side of Aaron Kitcher of Infant Annihilator.Both Joey and Jay are great but it takes another level to roll death metal with its rapid time signature changes and kick work.Joeys back n better then ever..da man

Jay is a great musician. He is so kind and talented. I love Jordison too but we can't compare them. Cause they have different point of view to life and we just need to enjoy Slipknot's sound. So Jay makes a different way for Knot but I love this way. Go on dude!

I loved the fact that he didn't mention who his father and what major artist he's been a drummer with for the past 40 years or so. Humble kid. Played with the Boss too when his dad couldn't. Great drummer !

Both Joey and Jay are amazing drummers. No need to hate and just appreciate.
He’s a great fit for Slipknot, and his dad is a drumming legend.
Even watching him jam with his dad you can see how their styles are different and Jay's metal style comes through.
I met Jay when he was playing with Against Me! and was so excited about the energy he brought to them. I was so heartbroken when he left but when I found out he was going to be in Slipknot my life was complete again. I was so freaking excited. Jay is a Beast!

Lots of metal bands love baby metal. Rob Zombie defended them, Judas priest played with them. Its only idiot toxic metal fans mainly on meth and shit who can't do anything for their lives that complain that they aren't metal

If I remember correctly Joey had to leave Slipknot as he wasn‘t phisically able to play without being in pain. Nevertheless Joey is one of my favorite drummers, but so is Jay. They are incomparable and two of the best drummers we will ever see. Just imagine a drum-off between them.

This young man only have two albums with Slipknot and it feels that he can create his own legacy with the band just like Joey did before. For me one of the 10 best replacements ever in a major mainstream metal band.

I met him at pnc this year backstage, and he was such a genuine and cool dude because we were born in the same place, and grew up in the same place too.

Max Weinberg is such a great drummer and even had time to play a few lockdown punk rock covers and he’s 70. Jay has the same level of control and he also has good technique.
