When I worked with children the parents called me the clay pot queen because we made so many projects with clay pots. We even made bird baths. I still have mine and it's held up for years because I glued it with E-6000. I enjoyed this so much today and I'll be trying the bread. It looked delicious!

What a great idea with the bird bath. I will try to find a big enough pot and saucer to make one of those. Thanks for sharing your craft.

@@KayXoXo4 I've used a really big pot for the base and a large saucer and I've used three 6 or three 8 inch pots and a large saucer also. You just have to have a pot right side up on the bottom and a pot upside down on the top. E-6000 glue is the best to use and you need to seal the pots too since the paint you put on them will hold up better that way. I hope you have fun making clay pot bird baths!

My daughter and I did a small birdbath type thing from clay pots back in the 80's, but we put birdseed in ours for our balcony...had lots of cardinals, blue jays and finches. I glued the pots (with E6000 too) and my daughter painted them (I think she was maybe 8). Thanks for the memories.

I had a grandmotherly neighbour when I was growing up. She was a farmer's wife, and one of my favourites of her many delicious baked goods was her molasses oat bread, which she baked in a large juice can (one end of the can cut out). She served the bread with homemade baked beans and it was super yummy! Your round loaves made me think of her :) When you paint your finial, try resting it on the eraser end of a pencil standing in the bottom of an old cardboard box, or a chunk of Styrofoam.

Omg I would love that recipe do you have it by any chance? My mom use to make us that when we were kids we would have it with hotdogs & her homemade baked beans "Brown Bread" baked in a can! She took that recipe to heaven with her unfortunately! Nobody I know ever knows what I am talking about when I tell them about brown bread baked in a can, I would love to make it for my dad who is 91 and still very healthy knock on wood!! I'm so happy someone out there knows about brown bread "I'm not crazy after all"

Just joined and binge watching some videos. We live in earthquake territory and lost some dishes. I got museum putty to hold things like plates leaned up or cups stacked on saucers in our buffet etc. I dont know if it would stick to raw terracotta pots but think it would on any painted ones. Like when you invert the trays and pots. Then you dont have to glue.

You forgot the little braid twine tail on the baby turtle. I made some big ones and also red lady bugs 2 years ago. They medical care and repair and back put in the yard. I love the pumpkin, apple pots. You always have cute ideas. Happy moms day to you and tell your mom I said Happy Moms day to her also. You are so lucky you have each other. JaniceTNRN

I love your 1st hack...how do you remove the excess wax left in the glass jar...I have some vases from DT that still have wax in them. I've tried the freezer hack, but because the wax is so thinly stuck to the neck of them, it just won't come off!☹️ Do you have advice or a hack for me? Your black candle stick holders look beautiful! My husband makes homemade bread the old fashioned way all the time...it is so yummy!😁❤️ Your bread looks delicious!😊 Your toranium looks great! Your turtle is too cute, I love it! As always Shannon, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's day!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
