That yarn they used to make the blanket out of is roving. I highly advise people NOT to use roving cause your blanket won’t last. It isn’t washable either. They make chunky size 7 yarn now that you can buy at your local hobby store that works a lot better and will be washable!

I totally agree! Also, you can use strips of fabric to the same effect. Cut strips 6 inches wide and sew together, end to end. Then make into a long tube, if you desire, or just use as they are. If cotton or cotton mix, do the tube to keep it from unraveling, if fleece or similar fabric, leave alone. It will curl on its own. The last step is the same. You can repurpose towels, old wool or acrylic blankets, whatever you like. And more colors can add interest! Experiment! Old jeans done this way make a lovely rug for cold feet when you wake up. Play with colors and textures while keeping cloth out of the landfill.

Just so everyone knows, the gaps under the doors inside your house are there so your furnace has somewhere to draw air in from. Also to circulate warm air through each room. It's really not a good idea to block them off. Maybe your bathroom while you're taking a shower but it's not good to leave these in place permanently.

It's supposedly non toxic but I agree and wouldn't eat off of it either. After the 4 weeks it takes to cure, it's recommended that an acrylic sealer be used over the modge podge as well but still, I definitely wouldn't use it on anything I planned on eating off of. Maybe as a decorative plate if there were saran wrap on it but I seriously doubt it'd be dishwasher safe 😂

I felt a little sick when I saw someone cleaning shoes with bread. My granny, who survived the Blockade, would have hated these people. Bread was a sacred thing for people like her. If you haven't eaten the bread, make croutons, if the bread is stale, give it to people who have chickens, pigs. It was not accepted in my family to throw away bread. But to use it on shoes, it's just beastly. So, I wondered who came up with this idea, but for another reason. 😐
