My avo was the best cook! I would come to her house and I would have a feast! She made the best of the best every Sunday afternoon. She lived to be 94 years old. Now Sunday afternoons are not the same since she died. I wish everyone could have a Azorean grandmother. She was the best.

Alcobaca is where I'm from and believe me I am not sad my family is not from the islands cuz ALL of Portugal is AMAZING and I feel all the lucky people are Portuguese but im a little or alot bit Bias lol so just know ur luck to be Portuguese both my parents are born their my fiance is born there and our families grew up together and me and my fiance our getting ready to move there imo it's the most amazing gorgeous place to live and the Culture can't be beat
Stopped watching the moment they called cozido a stew... cozer means to boil, not guizar, which means to stew...
She couldn't pronounce anything, kind of disappointing. All the foods are amazing and great the hear about but you get distracted by how she is butchering the names of the dishes

Who cares about the pronunciations. I couldn’t pronounce most of the dishes anyway being 3rd Generation American. What I appreciate is my Portuguese Heritage and the old world values my Grandmother gave us. Enjoy the memories and enjoy the food !

Y'all really pissing and moaning about the pronunciation and really can't tell it's a damn text to voice.
Damn this robotic voice misses all pronouncing... Jeez Louise what a painful experience... Other than that... Also wrong about the "hearty diet" as Mediterranean diet as been proven to be healthy.
OMG...the pronunciations are horrible. At least use google translate as an aid. Type in the Portuguese word in your own language (ie English) then translate to Portuguese. Click on the speaker icon to hear how it is properly spoken. Other than that, nice video to introduce the classic dishes.
