As you can see by the photos I tested the phone adapter by taking a phone of a power pole on the next block and you can see the results. It took a couple of minutes to line the phone camera up to the eye piece, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but once it was longed up it stayed in place without any issues. So far I’m impressed with the feel and the weight, the neck strap is wide and soft so it feels good on my neck. I look forward to using it with my friend and grandson in Big Bend!

Very nicely explained dear Chinmay. What my problem is you are telling a little speeder. So I failed to understand some words . While talking about eye relief I cud not understand the name of the glass which is nearer to eye . So while talking point wise you should give or highlight in writing as you gave for point one . Some technical points or words you should write clearly. Overall an Excellent video. God bless you always dear.

You have explained very nicely Chinmoy. I am a very senior citizen and staying at Cuttack Odisha. I had one 10 x 50 Diastone Binocular. That has been stolen. But had problems with handshake. I am using glass. Now I want to purchase one binocular. I am thinking to go for Nikon 8 x 42 or 7 x 32. But 42 will give better light than 32. Should I go for porro prisms or roof prism. Will it be good enough if I go for Monarch 5 or Monarch 7 or Monarch HG. Need your help.

First of all thank u for ur appreciation. Now as u r wearing specs so eye relief will be important factor.. so choose carefully as higher field of view will have lower eye relief.. so go for higher eye relief. So i will suggest M5 instead of M7 because those extra bucks(M7) won't be beneficial if u wear specs.. And obviously roof prism will be light weight and compact.. so go for roof if u hv that budget.. And lastly 8*42 will be good than 7*32 in my view..

Given ur requirements and options olympus 8-16×40 and Nikon 10×50 or 10×42 will be a good choice.. But i already mentioned Variable zoom will have higher cost. So 10×42 will be best value for money...

As a beginner, 8x42 is best. If you go for higher magnification like 10x50, the binoculars will be very heavy, and you have to use a tripod. Choose a 8x42 which has a wide field of view ( FOV ), and you will enjoy your binoculars very much. My suggestion is get a Vortex diamondback HD 8x42. This produces fantastic images with a wide FOV. Also, it is not too expensive, but I don’t know if it is available in India.

I think you might be asking about Fixed and variable zoom.. Fixed zoom binos are good at even lower cost.. but variable zoom binos are good at higher price only.. you can vary the zoom between certain range...

It depends on ur requirement nd budget.. obviously 2nd one give u more applicability but with higher cost and bulkier.

20X zoom will give u a shaky image which will be uncomfortable to watch through..

For bird watching go for 8x 42 or 10x 50. You can hand hold them without much shaking . You can use 20x magnifications for sky watching , with a tripod that too!

I never used this particular binocular but by seeing the specs I can presume that it's a variable bino with zoom vary from 30X to 380X which is quite bizarre.. that you can figure out if u watch my video.. also the last term indicate the lens diameter. But i don't think its a 300mm diameter lens so there may be mistake while writing..
