These videos are so good for returning/new players, thank you for the effort! Was wondering if there's a need for an updated card/companion guide? There's a lot to unpack with this game that varies greatly from the last time I played it (+18 months). Thanks again!

I think the companion video is still fine. Adventure were not a thing yet when I made that video, but those are not that hard to figure out. Cards still work the same too, there are just new ones, so I think it's best to focus on new videos for now, rather than remaking older ones, especially since I want to work on unrelated videos too. But you're right, a lot changed even in the past 18 months.

Nice video again! ❤️ Btw a question. I main priest. Is grinding w healer as efficient as w dps? Tbh I don't find dps/tank so appealing..

Thanks : ) In dungeons, playing healer is the same when it comes to grinding. You might even get matches a bit quicker than dps. For the guardian legion missions, it used to be dps based, but they changed something to take heals into account as well. I'm not exactly sure how well that works though.

Heals ok but beware sometimes a normal 5 minute dungeon can turn into an hour with new players my last lknm ran 55 mins @@

Is worrior or sorc better dps wise

Just a good TIP you can add in a next video: Go to options and check all "player alerts". Allow to avoid, see, watch out many moviments and bosses mechs

I want to make a guide for each class eventually, but right now I'm not very good at warrior yet, so I can't give you detailed info. What I can already tell you though is that warrior revolves around edge stacks. Use combos to build up edge to 8, then use aerial scythe, or if that is on cooldown, then build up edge to 10 and use the regular scythe. Most of the damage comes from those two attack and from Blade Draw. Make sure you switch on the offensive stance for dps warrior. For tank make sure to switch on defensive stance. Tanking on warrior relies more on s than brawler and lancer. Tank warriors also need to do a lot of dps in order to hold aggro, so I highly recommend that you learn how to do decent dps on warrior before you try tanking.

hi is it bad to start the game as a tank? because i really like brawler and lancer

I wouldn't say bad, but you might have a hard time learning the more challenging dungeons in endgame on tank, because every time the tank dies, the dps players and the healer will have to deal with aggro, which makes wipes a lot more likely than when the new player is on dps. If you play brawler, you can always make a dps setup, and just switch to dps brawler to learn new dungeons first.

You need to get to endgame first. There will be a skill advancement that changes growing fury into a dps skill, so you don't take aggro. You won't be able to block when that is active, so you have to attack from the back like any other dps.

New players should start practicing with BAMs since most of the bosses on Tera are just copy paste of BAMs in the open world, knowing most of the attacks that they can do will help them to not die all the time from basic stuff, so once they understand the type of attacks they will use, they can focus more on the mechanics for every fight.

That is true, the only issue is that open world bams are too weak to practice now, you can kill them so fast that you barely have time to practice.

@@YUKATIGaming Yeah, but the idea is they don't need to kill the bam, just dodge and see what that type of bam can do and which attack they need to dodge no matter what, for example some bams can stun with a slap, that will ruin the rotation of most of the dps, if they know wich attack is the stun then they know wich attack they need to dodge, some attacks are just dmg and is not a big deal so those they can take it and keep going with the rotation. That's my idea of using the bams as practice, but of course in end game we have a lot of bosses that are not based on bams, but the idea behind those bosses is something close to a bam fight.

Yeah true, I actually did that when I was new to the game, but mostly because I was fighting open world bams while leveling anyway. Most people won't bother learning bams attacks this way, but it is a good method to make learning dungeons easier.

Hi. Yes, continue with the important questlines (the ones with purple markers). Everything before going to Exodor gives nice EXP. Also, spam Macellarius Catacombs. I made a Leveling guide a while back. For 65-70 it's basically what I wrote above: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qa2ep5p_irbJj84.html

I have so many characters I love, I haven't gotten anyone above 452.

O.o Are you playing on console? I think on console ilevels are in general still lower. On PC the base gear you get at level 65 is above 452 already.

How is the population?

It's ok right now on NA servers. I've seen better but also worse before. I think on EU servers the population is a bit bigger.

character slots are going for 1.5m right now

Yeah, they are so expensive right now. Same with bank slots. :(

They fucked up the endgame with the level 70 patch.. You can't just level up with dungeons to max level anymore.. You need to do boring as hell and waste of time quests from level 65.. Shame.

I don't know how it is in Patch 102, I haven't leveled a new character yet, but they changed a bunch of stuff. Leveling up from 65 to 70 takes a lot less exp points now, and you don't need to finish the exodor questline to unlock kaia gear anymore. However there are other things about patch 102 that are not so great.

Yeah, sadly population is low, but combat is still fun, and endgame dungeon queue times are shorter than they were a year ago. Enjoy TERA as long as it has enough population to be playable.
