I was a mover in my younger yrs, but got into health care right into the nursing field when a loved one passed in 94'. I really always wanted to be a driver or at least run a truck, but I was young n strong so naturally I moved everything 😅😂😅. Hey, when I retire I'll get a truck, be the driver, while my sons do the lumping 😊

Traveling out of state over 150 air miles round trip will need that mc#, truck size won’t matter you’ll need those elogs or paper logs

It’s possible with a 16’ box just a little more limited. Amazon actually has 16’ cube box truck loads but if you’re new that’s a six month wait. I still recommend that 26 over them all.

Quick question, I'm planning on getting a Box Truck, and I'm wondering if there is enough money in it to go with a CDL truck instead of non-cdl. Thoughts? I haven't seen many good videos out there on this (I do have my CDL), but if having a CDL truck is enough of an advantage, it might be worth the extra initial money. Again, thank you.

Cdl box truck can definitely carry more weight which can definitely mean more money. Cdl trucks are also less expensive. I’d definitely recommend taking that route. Hazmat endorsement, TWIC certification will also pay far better for moving that type of specialty freight. Hope this helps. ✌🏾

I’d stick with home or if you’re in a brick and mortar location use that. Brokers don’t like to see an address that multiple carriers are using.

Did you have an inspection from an DOT officer at a weigh station on the interstate or been pulled over by an officer? There is a level 1, level 2, or level 3 inspection that brokers look for on your safer report and without that brokers will not let you run their freight. Some of them. ✌🏾

For business address I’d use virtual, for DOT I’d use home.

Is a Cummins B6.7, 220HP enough HP for a 26’ box truck. I found it to be lacking power when I drove it UNLOADED. I’ll be working out of California and will be hitting some hills.

It’ll definitely be enough power. I drive school buses and we use those same engines in our Thomas(Freightliner) and IC(International) school buses. Our buses are also rated for 30k lbs. I will say from experience the Freightliners have a little more get up and go than the Internationals…
