Hi, Thank you for the wonderful and motivational video. Can you please help me with the questions that I need to discuss with the host institute contact point.

Sure. For me what helped are the following aspects: 1. Check if they offer webinars/seminars/ workshops on msca 2. Ask if they can offer comments on you text. If yes ask what theor deadlines are. 3. Ask if the institution has the msca apllication guide. 4. Ask them where you can check class and courses your host institution offers to help you plan your training objectives. For sure it is not exhaustive but i think it is a good place to start a convo with your institution. I hope this answered your question. Good luck with the application!

As far as I know there is no official set number of published papers that you should have.

thanks for the video, very helpful. how many days does it take you to write the first draft? Is it logical to start working from today for 2024's application? or too late?

Hey the earlier the better but there are still a couple of months until the deadline. So if you focus you should be fine. Just make sure you have dedicated time slots in your calendar when you are gonna write and these timeslots happen regularly every week. I think I had started around this time, so in my humble opinion you are in time. Regarding how long it takes to get the first draft, I think this all depends on you and your situation. Do you already know what project to follow? Also are you familiar with what the host institution can offer you? Do you know what training objectives you want to have? Are you experienced in writing grants? Are you writing full time or in between experiments? Rather than focusing on how many days this should take you, I would more focus on dividing the grant in small digestable pieces and every dedicated writing session you would make sure that you address 1 piece. I hope it helps and good luck! Also I want to point out that this is my opinion and I am speaking from my MSCA experience and journey. But it is not an official EC/MSCA opinion.
